  1. That's what the internet is for isn't it?
  2. The Auditorium or the Chicago Theater solve a lot of problems I feel. They're bigger but not too big and they're nice/sound better.
  3. Intimate is fine too but The Riv is such a terrible venue.
  4. what's good about a standing room concert? Crammed in like cattle at the stockyards, being elbowed. trying to get back to where your standing after a beer/bathroom run. sounds great, sign me up! That's why The Riv sucks. Plus if you're not there early enough you end up in the back on the floor, unable to see anything, still crammed in like cattle. But that's Rock and Roll man!
  5. I mean big in stature. Especially in Chicago. But I assume these 5 concerts are going to be a destination thing for a lot of Wilco fans. Every theater in Chicago is historic. The Auditorium is historic. The Chicago is historic. And they're also incredible places to see concerts. I also don't think it's luck of the internet. I've never had a problem getting tickets to Wilco shows...the Metro shows a couple of years back, the many Auditorium shows. Just not happy with how this was handled but again, I didn't get tickets. Hopefully they record and release the entire thing.
  6. also true. the XRT/Jam pre-sale for individual shows must have lasted no more than 4 minutes.
  7. yeah...i hate that f'ing place. even before tickets went on sale I didn't get it. Not only is it a bad venue with bad sound and shitty sightlines, but it's a complete dump as well. This is a HUGE event, why not have it at a great venue like the Auditorium or the Chicago. It's obvious Wilco is going for an "event" with 5 days and this whole thing with unique sets and running through the entire catalog. And yet when it comes to the venue they pick the worst one in the entire city?
  8. Why are they at The Riv? Why was there no Music Today pre-sale for individual shows? This is BS. Their a big band, why aren't they playing at the Auditorium or the Chicago Theater? Why The Riv? Not only is it a small venue, it's a shitty small venue. Obviously I didn't get tickets.
