  1. I'm still waiting for the prog/afrobeat release that was eluded to during the recording of Ode. I would love to hear their "noisy" side.
  2. In light of all of the YHF hoopla, does anyone have expectations for the next album? On a side note, would Ghost have been better than Yankee if they'd left off the drone?
  3. Haven't posted here in a while. https://thehardtimes.net/music/wilco-t-shirt-mysteriously-appears-in-closet-on-eve-of-mans-35th-birthday/
  4. "Bull Black Nova" minus the bits about blood and trunks.
  5. I haven't posted here in a while (maybe as long as 15 years), but I check in from time to time. Glad to see that the Grateful Dead thread is still going. When the lockdowns first started, I decided to listen to the Europe '72: Complete Recordings in it's entirety. I've diverged several times and repeated several shows on the way, but I just finished the Rotterdam show from May 11th. From my memory of tape trading days, this show was the pinnacle of the tour. I still have 7 shows to go and I'm amazed how consistent they were on this tour. Aside from all the Mr. Charlie's, I have no complaints s

  7. I'm a bit bummed because we had 5th row, center seats for the Murat date, but this is the right message at the right time. Giving us another Cincy date would certainly advance that message, as well (wink, wink, nudge nudge).
  8. I had tickets for the Dayton show and was majorly bummed when I heard the news. A buddy's band was opening a string of the shows that were canceled. At least they got to play the Grand Rapids show.
  9. Bob Pollard onstage with Joseph Airport at South Park Tavern.
  10. Both shows were great. I think they rocked harder in Columbus, but they jammed harder tonight. Loved hearing the pre-Kraut Spiders.
  11. 3:11 into Rock 'N Roll Animal when Sweet Jane kicks in is transcendental.
  12. The link for this track is dead. Could anyone who has the original file please PM me a fresh link? Thanks in advance.
  13. The season finale was amazing! Gus would make a great zombie.
  14. I'm not quite certain that there are any flawless rock albums out there, but here are a handful of my favorites: Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited The Beatles - Abbey Road Guided By Voices - Alien Lanes The Stooges - Fun House Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings And Food The Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
  15. Awesome photos! Jason (drummer) and Steve (guitarist/"Fleetwood Mac" guy) are friends of mine. Wish I could have been back at Canal Street for this gig.
  16. The biggest omission at this point is the Allman's "Live at Fillmore East". Possibly the best live album ever.
  17. I was also at all of their Deer Creek appearences, but 6-7-91 is the killer for me. The Scarlet>Fire>Truckin'>New Speedway to start the 2nd set is probably the best segue I witnessed from the boys. The sun hitting the horizon during the Scarlet>Fire transition was icing on the cake. Good times at Deer Creek.
  18. I've had unlettered scans of issue 3 for a while. It's nice to see something closer to a finished product. Thanks!
  19. I have ~10 or so Morphine shows if you're interested. Most are audience recordings, but they've always sounded good to my ears. There should be a link to my etree list in my profile.
  20. The CD being referred to was included with the audiobook version.
  21. I was one of the late-period Dead converts. My first show was Hara Arena (Dayton, OH 11-94ish), right after the "White Album" Halloween show. Obviously, I never saw them in the early days, but I saw my share of stellar shows (10-31-95 & 12-7-97 being the best examples). Maybe it's my own ignorance of what came before (I do have a pretty extensive library of pre-'94 shows), but '97-'98 was the pinnacle for me. I totally dug the summer of '98 when we got a new cover each night. I fell out of the scene right before BC and never got back in. It was a really fun ride.
  22. If you have a demonoid account, most (if not all) of the Purple Chick compilations can be found there.
