  3. Thanks Louie, I'm just looking for any info really, Obviously i can look online for Chicago guides and all that shit. But I figured i'd post and find out non-touristy places, like good priced used clothes stores (equivalant to Toronto's Kensington Market) or good vegetarian resataurants, coffee shops (no fucking starbucks!), cheap movie theaters etc... whatever "OH please....you aren't interested what we have to say about Wilco or anything else." Who the hell are Wilco?
  4. OK, I'm coming from toronto to go to the pitchfork music fest... i'll be staying 4 days... I need other things to do in addition to pitchfork fest... i noticed that autumn defence is playing Marty's on Friday night... is this an advance ticket thing, or can i just show up and pay at the door? Does anyone know if the pitch fest has in/out privaliges. or once i go in i have to stay? What else can i do with my time? i'm staying half way between the airport (o'hare) and 'downtown' cause i'm cheap, so i'll probley have to take the subway (or a train of some sort) if i want to go anywhere.
  5. So i'm coming to Chicago next weekend and I want to find the music shops in the city. I know from watching IATTBYH that the Midwest buy and sell is a place to go... are there any others? i'm looking for a Fender Jazzmaster (REISSUE, as i don't have a ton of money), theres not too many here in Toronto. so i'd figure i'll try the mighty US. if anyone knows of good used, music stores please let me know (with address please) OR if you know where i can find a Jazzmaster, or are selling one, let me know... respond here (if you like) or email me directly mgrasby@hotmail.com if you find me a j
