  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKPCMl7Vc0A The tune that hooked me...
  2. Got tickets for Hurricane Sandy benefit show Neil and the Horse are doing in Atlantic City this coming Thursday. Should be wild to see them in a 3700 seater.
  3. MMJ (for both Wilco and Pearl Jam) The Black Keys (for Radiohead and Pearl Jam) Band Of Horses (for Pearl Jam) Alejandro Escovedo (for DBT) Living Colour (for the Stones) R.E.M. (for the Police) Black Uhuru (for the Police) Stone Temple Pilots (for RHCP) Foo Fighters (for RHCP) Turbonegro (for QOTSA)
  4. Drive-By Truckers, as Jason Isbell and Shonna Tucker were married. Granted, they did not last long in that incarnation once issues arose, but they are still an ongoing unit.
  5. Have a pair of tix for their show at the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ this coming Saturday that I can't use due to family obligations. One of the few forums where I figure I may find someone interested (also posted at Three Dimes Down). Send a PM if interested. If this isn't cool to post, just let me know and I'll delete.
  6. Anyone getting tix today for the Montclair show?
  7. Hopin' the 3:00 train to loverly Newark for tonight's show and heading to the following spot (PJ message board get-together...my first): MMM Bellos 376 Market Street, Newark, NJ 07105-2210 (973) 465-0052‎ FROM PENN STATION NEWARK TO MMM BELLOS PUB: (Walking) Head east on Market St toward Ferry St 335 ft – about 1 min So, if anyone else is heading over, say hello.
  8. Yes, I was asking about BoH. Thanks for the info...guess I'll see how the pre-party is going to decide if I go in for both of there sets. Looking forward to the Black Keys as well!
  9. Anyone know where to find setlists for what they have been playing on the PJ tour? Haven't been able to come across anything outside of concert reviews. Will be opening a couple of the shows this week and just curious if they are mixing it up, thus being worth seeing more than once. First couple of spins through the album and its solid. Still partial to their first, but they're all good in my book. The pop of "Dilly" has caught my attention at the outset.
  10. New one has made me do the same. Loving it, but really struck by the ferocity of "Rubber Factory". Had been a while since I listened to that one, but WOW! Gotta say I have spun that one a little more than the new one, but it's close...
  11. May be a little late, as we are almost 1/3 of the way through 2010, but here's a "Best of '09" mix from a loose collective of i-friends that covers all genres. In addition to 3 discs of music, there is another set of about 40 overflow songs that "just didn't fit this mix" that are contained in the second link if interested. Hope you enjoy and find some new things! 3 discs: -http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TFBRGSH9 3 discs + overflow: -http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BGY2R0T9 Disc 1 The White Rabbits - Percussion Gun Camera Obscura - French Navy Editors - Papillon Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Hysteric
  12. For those who follow DBT like Wilco, The Nine Bullets board is no more. Three Dimes Down is up and running. Check it out at the link below. http://www.threedimesdown.com
  13. So, what's the DBT tune like? Haven't tracked it down yet...
  14. NP, GB! Hope you weren't too wiped out the next day;)
  15. Thanks to all for the suggestions...is their a preferred venue VC'ers are gathering at?
  16. Any advance word on whether the new remasters have made significant improvements to what is already available?
  17. Great interview with Cooley. Good to hear from someone else than Patterson (no offense intended)... http://www.prefixmag.com/features/drive-by-truckers/interview/38328/
  18. Where are prices listed? Didn't see them on the PJ website, nor on TM. Sure the NYC tix will be more, but wondering how much more?
  19. Obviously, the Billboard writer did not see Elton's appearance on "Spectacle", where he highlights Leon's influence on his playing style among other things. Should be interesting to hear. Elton was my first "go to" artist as a kid, so always have a soft spot for him, but, outside of a few tracks, lost interest after "Here and There". But, the 70s were magnificent!
  20. 2 for Montclair on Saturday...all I can afford at this time. See you all there!
  21. Whip It: Truly a magical Friday/Saturday...
  22. Believe they did it at one of the Seattle shows this tour. Hoping they break it out in Philly.
  23. If you get VH1 Classic, it is repeated there every so often. It is one of the "VH1 Rock Honors" series, so look for that, then check the info, as there are 2 or 3 different shows of this name. HTH
  24. I just recently pulled this one back out and am liking it much more the second time around. I think it had to do with their ACL appearance, which I had Tivo'd but just got around to watching. Seeing some of the material performed live made me reconsider my opinion on this one...and I'm glad I did. Digging "Librarian" alot these days, fwiw.
