  1. very nice. i didn't play it like that either, but i'm gonna learn it as so.
  2. I have to say last night was the best and tightest performance I've seen from Wilco. Jeff's voice was wonderful, Nels rocked the fuck out, and Glen was amazing as usual. I prayed for Pot Kettle Black when I saw the white tele come out, and they thankfully delivered. I've been waiting for that one. I was worried when I didn't see a taper anywhere, but feeling a bit better now that someone else did. I hope they got Andrew's set too. Not to mention Jeff's Elvis/Gram Parsons get up. Seriously, rad. I'm a stander too, damnit.
  3. I don't even tune down for this one. I capo on the second and leave the low E um, "un-capoed" and improvise from there. What you guys are yelling makes sense, though. Probably more accurate.
  4. I've found most of the "chord base" songs have little walkdowns in them that nobody seems to tab out. I suppose it could help some people maybe.
  5. I just saw this post shortly after I posted the same thing. Kudos my friend.
  6. Is this really about cleaning up? As far as I knew he kicked his Rx addiction after ghost, and is trying to quit smoking now. Whatever he is doing, it's not the rock and roll story with needles broken off in his arm. I doubt his music will be compromised. Now on another note, if he is going to be taking meds for his 'disorder' I am very worried. My philosophy is it is better to feel shitty than feel nothing at all. Not so much the case with corrective anti anxiety meds, but more so along the lines of your prozacs and other anti-depressants. That shit frightens me. May I add the late Stevie
  7. I agree, also because I am working more with Jeff's solo stuff, which no show is ever exactly the same. The fill between verses can be played incredibly close by just keeping your D position and experimenting with hammer-ons and pull offs, mostly on the second and fourth fret (relative to capo). Try little things like hammering onto the A string during the G, things like that.
  8. Yes, he does often capo the 3nd, however I have a few recordings where he capos the 2nd, which i prefer much more.
  9. spend the extra whatever on the blues jr. the pro is a great little no nonsense amp, but you will appreciate the extra features on the blues. [rion]
  10. try it capo on 2, but without the low e capoed. you have to use it upside down, but you dont have to retune and it sounds right to me.
