  1. Yeah, you and all of GA will be sudden Cat-fans... That's cool. Frankly, I'd love to set the dogs up with LSU for the SEC. After watching the LSU game yesterday I think they're a little ove . But beating UT will be a great clean up for us going into a bowl game. We need a quality W to cap off a good regular season.

Definitely agree. Geez...what a spoiler that would be if TN lost to you guys and we surprised LSU in the SEC Championship!

  2. I read something this morning that suggested that Georgia needs Tennessee to lose to make it to the SEC championship game, so I guess the Georgia-LSU scenario isn't a sure thing.

Yes. We need Tennessee to lose to Vandy or Kentucky to play LSU for the SEC Championship and we have to beat Kentucky at home this coming week. So, no it's not a sure bet UGA will play LSU (I hope we will). I'm not sure about the math of it all, but I saw something this weekend about us still getting a marginal BCS bid if we don't play in the SEC Championship, but we beat Kentucky and GT.

  3. Who else do you guys have on your schedule? We've still got UT, Florida, and Arkansas so I won't breathe until after those games. Chapel Hill fans (not to mention Kirk Herbstreit) are predicting an upset this weekend but I just don't see anyway SOS lets that happen. At least I hope not. That city won't know what hit them this weekend when about 20,000 Gamecock fans descend upon their fair city this weekend. I just hope if we win, SOS takes a pic of the team in front of the scoreboard like he did when he was coach of the Dookies.

That will be an interesting game to watch! We still got Florida, Kentucky, and Auburn as our last conference games. Of course, I'm hopeful that we beat Florida, but I doubt that's going to happen going into the bowl games. I'll be happy we comeout with only 3 losses.

  4. I almost cried when Jasper Brinkley went down during the LSU game. Then read an article in the local paper today about him and his surgery and how he's doing now and I almost cried again. But that's football (or life, really), I guess.

I'm glad Knowshon is starting against Vandy. That kid has got some energy!

  5. Hey! Looks like you've changed your name. That UT loss was definitely brutal. I was pulling for you guys, though. Can't stand fat Phil.

Thanks for cheering for us. Our youth finally showed, but I don't think our players even bothered leaving Athens mentally. Our D, was pitiful, UT really wanted it more. We didn't deserve to win that game.

  6. I think it's safe to say that my Gamecocks are the real USC this year.

    (j/k)

SEC-E is the real deal this year, though. Five top 25 teams this week.

I think you got a real chance to take the SEC-East this year if you can run the tables. Unfortunately, after Sat. embarrassing loss to Tenn., we're pretty much out of it now. :ohwell

  7. I don't see it on Wilcoworld.net yet, so I wonder if there will be a pre-sale? Do they ever not do a pre-sale?

    Scott,

I'm sure if they do a pre-sale it will be before the official sale on the 17th. Then again, CP has no standard reserved seating, so maybe it's not required.

  8. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'm actually really good friends with several people at work, so it would be really weird not to invite them. Kind of like not inviting your family to go to your birthday party weird. I'm just going to shoot an email to the peeps I want there, and not worry about the rest. Piece of cake. ;)

  9. Thanks fellas! You both are kind thinking what I'm thinking. I just wanted to get another opinion before I commit. Your damned if you do, damned if you don't type thingy. Actually, last year was quite festive. Lots of drunken debauchery goin' on!

  10. I need some advice. Me and the neighbors on my block are throwing a block party in October. My delemma is who to invite from my office. I don't want to send a general email out because I know several people that won't come, and I also have people I don't want to invite. I could go around and speak to or Evite the ones I do want to come, but I'm worried that word of mouth might get around. I work in a small office (30 people) and this happened to me last year. Some people got hurt while I wasn't intentionally trying to hurt their feelings. I want to avoid that if possible. Any thoughs? Thanks!
