Relevance has nothing to do about the music, yes his music may be interesting, but he has nothing to say of substance. His lyrics are shallow and obtuse and show no relevance to the world we live in.. Exile in Guyville us her best when looked at from a lyrics perspective. I thought the music on on her self titled album was more consistent but at times veered into the style over substance category.

You just backed up my point overly hyped here and other outlets, which is not deserved considering his music goes nowhere, round and round with no exhibited purpose. Yes he may be talented and have all sorts of ideas but this does not equal a enjoyable listen ie Scott Walker's output in recent years. I call it the Pitchfork mentality.
