Does anyone else think this is a damn beautiful song that deserves far more attention that it gets Consider the feelings of isolation and alienation it evokes, the use of ambient noise in the beginning, and the devestating intimacy of the lyrics (open your arms as far as they will go, take off your dress, an embarassing poem was written when i was alone in love with you). I especially love this last bit, of being simultaneously alone and in love.

So I was looking up the lyrics for "Im Always in Love," and wondering what the fuck was up with Tweedy and co. with the whole "smoke pot, smoke pot" refrain that sounds during the third verse (I don't get the connection / If this is only a test / I hope I do my best / You know I won't forget)?

i think i could play poor places better when im drunk than jeff does here... anyone else feel that jeff totally botched this version of the song?
