  1. Sounds like they made a bunch of songs and then hit the "R3MIX!!!" button.

It will of course take a while. Ghost is great, Separator grew on me. So did Codex.

On first listen I was put off by how Yorke-y it was. And it's a little to blippy/electronica/trip-hoppy for me to fall in love with it yet.

I'm sure it will be a grower. If not I'll just listen to Kid A, Ok Computer, The Bends, and In Rainbows all day and be happy.

  2. Hey there! I have a bunch of friends at the new school, i'm sure you'll love it. i live on w 60th street, just moved up here from avenue a and e 13th street.

if you find a good broker, you can find relatively cheap places in chelsea (near the new school). i pay 900$ a month along with my 2 roommates, and we live in a 3 bedroom with a kitchen, bathroom, living room. if you devote a lot of time to finding a reasonably priced place, you should be able to live in a pretty decent neighborhood in manhattan.

that said, brooklyn has some awesome neighborhoods with great and cheap places to live.

as for going out, it's kind of an experiment to see what you like. i go out in brooklyn a lot, and the whole club/bar scene downtown is fun but can be a hassle.

    :cheers

  3. i love it but it's def gonna be a LONG time before i enjoy it more than Boxer or Alligator

it's a very consistent album, but so far there's not a single song i love more than All The Wine, Fake Empire, Secret Meeting, Abel, Mr. November, Baby, We'll Be Fine, Apartment Story, etc. The closest so far is England or Conversation 16 probably.

i'm sure it's just a matter of time though, for quite a while after it came out i didn't like Alligator as much as Sad Songs either :)

that's interesting..i'm already in love with terrible love, afraid of everyone, little faith, lemonworld.
