So here are my lastest movies coming from the glorious Netflix: 1 Growin' a Beard (ariving tomorrow...a film about a beard growing contest) 2 Wordplay (great little Doc about the New York Times crossword puzzle) 3 Rock School (The school that inspired School of Rock) or just be my Netflix friend: Be my netflix friend!

I love the inner island flashback episodes...like the one where we learned about the tail section. I can see the last episode(s) of the series all being like this. Anytime they shake the format up a bit, it keeps me interested.

It will be a glorious way to burn a massive amount of money though. I give them credit for the ambition. And I would love to see it.

I always think about that with older artists as there are many who would say that the best art comes out of youth. I don't think its always the case. Take Sonic Youth. I think they make better music now then they ever did 15 or 20 years ago. Flaming Lips as well. Just my 2 cents.

Oh I forgot. Not sure if this counts, but I left the Kanye performance at Lollapalooza last year. His sound was terrbile and we weren't digging it. We checked out Manu on the other stage instead.

Has anyone heard the Albert Hammond Jr. album? I was meaning to check it out. Ok which do you all prefer: GQ or Esquire. I get both and prefer Esquire.

The Smashing Pumpkins way back in the day (Melon Collie tour) The Vines when they first came out. Both are simply terrible in concert...or at least they were when I saw them. also Death Cab bored me to tears, but I guess it just wasn't my thing...

I can't remember what award they were given but The Raconteurs got a mention and the picture and story they used was from Lollapalooza 2006. I can't find the list online. The Esquire website hasn't updated yet.

The Lolla Lineup is supposed to be announced a few weeks into april. The next batch of early bird tickets go on sale on April 3rd (they will be discounted but certainly not $60...probably like $150)

Around the Sun was very bland...what my exgirlfriend would call "Dad rock" (sorry to the dads on the board). I loved Up and Reveal though. Anyone ever see the documentary about the making of UP? Its pretty good as far as rock-docs go.

I have been on a major Prince Kick lately, but I feel no guilt about that.
