  1. Thanks. I'll keep checking there. Haven't seen anything yet.
  2. Just wondering, but has anyone seen any recordings of this show anywhere? I'm guessing if someone posts the show somewhere there would be a link here? I can wait, no rush, just wondering. Thanks
  3. Capitol City> One Sunday Morning Poor Places> Art Of Almost IATTBYH> I Might Black Moon This was the highlight of the night for me. I absolutely was in awe and basically in a trance for these first 7 songs. It just flowed so well and the lighting was very cool. I enjoy hearing new songs because I like to see bands evolve and experiment. If I heard some of these songs over and over again, I would probably not go anymore. I've been going to concerts for almost 20 years now and I follow about a handful of bands religiously. Wilco is one of the best live bands, if not thee best band liv
  4. It's unbelievable what people do at concerts to try and get you to sit down. I've gotten, "You better sit down or else I'll stab you". Yeah, that got my attention, straight to the usher person and that person was escorted out. I'm going to Madison tonight and I'm worried about the stand up, sit down thing there because I believe it happened one other time I saw them at the Overture Center. This time I'm in the bottom circle area, front row. I'm guessing if I stand, I'm going to get jabbed in the back or something will be said. I'm all for standing and sitting at certain moments of shows. I
  5. Just wondering, but did anyone see any mics recording the show? I was second row balcony and they were all over you if you even remotely brought anything out that looked like a cell phone or camera. My guess was there was no recording unless it was ok'd by Tweedy's group. I could be wrong. Thought I would ask. The sound in that theater was amazing. Tweedy even commented on being able to hear everything.
  6. Hey now....that sounds pretty fantastic. I would LOVE download that matrix. If that works out, please share it with us. Thank you!!
  7. Just wondering, but where will I be able to find some of these recordings from this show? Will they be up on bt.etree.org? or possibly somewhere else? Just wondering, so I can keep my eyes peeled for them. Thanks again to everyone who took the time and effort to record this amazing show. I was completely floored. I'm going through withdrawls much like I do for Ryan shows.
  8. Looking forward to hearing some of these recordings. This place is suppose to have pretty awesome acoustics. They were right. 2nd show for me at the Overture, same section, but this time dead center in the mezz first row. Loved the show. Sounded amazing. They came to rock and I was totally blown away. Haven't seen them in two years, so it was a nice break. Great hearing new songs. I think we heard every song but 3 of them. I have to check the setlist above again. I thought the audience was perfect around me. We sat, some stood towards the middle/end of the show. Totally blown away. I think
  9. Yes, thanks for posting that link. It's working fine for me. Couldn't make these shows. I tried calling, going online, everything and I just couldn't get two good tickets.
  10. one word for finding a hotel "PRICELINE". I use it all the time. Just stayed in downtown Detroit for 2 nights at the Marriot for $80 dollars a night. I got a room at the Holiday Inn near the Loop for $80 dollars one time for a Cubs game. Just got on the train. Orbitz has rooms near the loop for under 100 bucks. I would definitely use priceline. I think i've used it about 20 times and i've never paid more than $80 bucks for a room and they are always nice rooms. worth a shot. So is the Riv still smoking? Last time I was there was years ago to see Ryan Adams and it was a smoking venue then
  11. anyone ever find a recording of this show?
  12. My 4th Wico show (Bridge School 2003, Farm Aid 2005, Madison 2006 - Barrymore Theater). I've seen Tweedy twice solo (Milwaukee Pabst 2007 and Orpheum Theater 2006). Great venue, the Overture Center is. It's nice that they don't allow you to bring in drinks into the theater itself. I wish I could of seen the view from the stage because with all the wood and lights going in different angles seemed pretty cool. I personally enjoyed just sitting in the first balcony, row 3 dead center because I could see everything. No need to get up and dance because the sound was just perfect. It was amazing.
  13. yes, i'll be there too. pulling in around 6pm. i think i'm gonna make my way over to the new trader joes and pick up some food and snacks. it's open now. love the barrymore. i've seen about 10 to 12 shows there in my lifetime. can't wait to drink some brews at the show.
  14. Tickets went on presale for Ryan this morning at 10am, but i'm sure there is tickets still available. i got mine. it was like 90 some bucks for two tickets. It's a charity event for the Chicago Cubs too, which fuckin' rocks because i'm a diehard fan. 4 hour trip to chi-town for me. i need to find a motel. Tickets go on sale here on 11/11: http://www.hob.com/tickets/eventdetail.asp?eventid=42471 If you sign up for the free membership you can buy them now i think. not sure on that though. someone said it over on the ryan adams archives website. that is the new message board pretty much.
  15. has anyone seen a recording of this show anywhere? just curious. i've been looking around and haven't seen anything yet. hopefully it won't get left behind in someone's collection.
