I Am Trying to Break Your Heart
  1. shit was insane! and yes, i posted my 'tape' to the future age section. sounds pretty good, if i do say so myself. here's the big ears set http://sweetblahg.tumblr.com/post/158999406083/jeff-tweedy-meets-chikamorachi-big-ears-2017
  2. ...are you guys taping the opening sets too? i'd love to hear jake and jim's sets again later, but would rather not bring my zoom if i don't have to. thanks!
  3. only caught sat, but loved it! these shows area always such a treat. great choices...was just saying to a friend how i can't believe no one ever requests cars can't escape! this is the perfect scenario for it (and not like venus will ever see the light of day again)
  4. hey folks...got shut out of all 5 chicago shows, and would love to see whatever I can. if you have any extra(s) for any nite, please let me know. thanks!
  5. Hi guys, Long time wilco fan (and lurker) here...would love to see the Chicago show if anyone has extras. thanks! joel
  6. same on this end...my first attempt within 10 sec of 10a said they were 'sold out'...bullshit!
  7. laminated cat AND cars can't escape...back to back no less...d a n g.
  8. fun show! pics by me...words by my friend jon http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack/review-wilco-coveleski-stadium/
  9. MUCH better than sunday's show. Sunday wasn't bad, so much as safe and completely playing into the crowd of gapers. Last nite was the wilco i love to see. Song selection and setlist flow were much more up my alley. Let's pause for a moment and take notice of how thoroughly Tortoise killed it each night. Was great people seemed to finally be engaged by the end of last nite's set.
  10. bump cause the record comes out today
  11. i think its good but not great. after by your side and lions, this record could have been a sterile classic rock poopfest like the stones last record, but i think luther dickenson grounded them a bit more than that. his slide playing is really the heart of warpaint for me thus far (after one listen). the lyrics aren't as meaningful as the southern harmony/amorica era, but even 3 snakes was lacking after that one-two punch. basically, its better than it could have been and i think some of the songs will transfer well live. very excited about the park west friday.
  12. they sound so loose...i like it
