  1. I like it, It is repetitive but it makes it feel really good when the vocals kick in. It kinda reminds me of We Laugh Indoors, mood wise

I thought Plans was really great actually but I do welcome their return to the cool sonic landscapes and long songs

  2. Theres a sound he makes, Its hard to descibe but im sure you know what I mean its like a warble but it sounds slightly electronic and glichy too, Neil Young gets it sometimes too

I'll check that out Reflected, I have a T-Rex Mudhoney that does the Crazy Horse thing spot on but I want something alot more fuzzy, with no bass whatsoever, like Syd Barrett Interstellar Overdrive

I was thinking of getting an EQ pedal and using it to cut all the bass out of my signal, along with the rex it could do the trick

  3. Notice he uses 2 Holy Grails, one on his main board and one thats linked to a volume pedal, I guess thats for those reverb swells he likes with acoustics

I still desperately want that Tweedy lead tone on AGIB, trouble is I have a feeling it might have less to do with his gear and more to do with his hands

that first photo on wilcoworld looks like Pat has quite the selection of pedals too, and John, I never understand why bass players would need lots of pedals??

  4. Does anyone know where I can find the video of I'm A Wheel from ACL a while back, I think this was one of the first things I saw of Wilco and remember it being great

  5. All great songs mentioned here, I will add however Joni Mitchell's 'A Case Of You' what a painful painful piece of art, aswell Graham Nash's 'Simple Man', I always thought this song was a little naff, and lyrically a bit cliche, infact I think it might be one of the most honest, plain, breakup songs ever

I just wanna hold you, I dont wanna hold you down

    I love that line

  6. I've heard people call Radiohead pretentious but never Wilco and I really dont feel there are any similarities between them, not musically anyway, maybe the way they approach it.

I own all the Radiohead records and i appreciate what they do but they do leave me a little cold, I think there is alot more warmth to Jeff and Wilco

  7. i think the pickgaurds are there more cos they look really cool, i love these guitars, never played one mind

i guess if they were designed for folk singers, in the 60s, they may have thought they would need to beat the hell out of them in coffee houses without mics or pickups etc

  8. alot of people have told me i should be wearing earplugs and ive usually kinda brushed off the idea but last band practice my ears were really hurting, we had a show the next night and again more pain. my problem with wearing them is everything is muffled and i find it hard to sing with them in anyone else have this problem??
