  1. I emailed about tonight - the 22nd - I hope it's still available! Thank you!
  2. The show has certainly started - txt from a friend and twitter excitement. I hope the setlist is updated here (or a link to somewhere it is being updated.) According to the tweets I'm seeing, Cars Can't Escape is the opener - I didn't see anyone guess that one!
  3. Dwight Almond = Duane Allman - though that is pretty funny. If you don't know who that is and just guessed - not bad, AND if you are a fan of insane guitar solos, get thee to a record shop and getcha some Allman Bros records. Just back from the show and still blown away! The best Impossible Germany I have ever heard - Nels was on a different plane and the rest of the band was in awe during that solo/song. I think Dawned On Me is going to be a rocker for years to come. What a weekend!
  4. I agree - they set the tone early and really kept up the pace all night - very good show - great crowd, too. Nick's set was a treat! Anyone know if he's been mixing up his sets nightly? I'll probably get there in time to catch him either way, just curious. Last night was rockin'! Wonder what's in store for tonight?!?
  5. I don't post often but I live here in Nashville and I'm going to both shows. I am so excited - I can't believe the weekend is here already! I don't know if it's been covered here yet, but the Autumn Defense is playing an acoustic gig at the Family Wash tonight - 9ish - I think it's booked solid but it's just a $7 cover and it's a fun, small venue. Here are some places to check out while you're in town: For pricier higher-end cocktails and hipsterness - No. 308 and Holland House - fun, creative menus but even more fun drinks and cocktails. Dino's, right next door to No. 308, is a greas
  6. Just got back from the show and it was outstanding! They rocked loud and sounded great - it was tough to tell thay hadn't played together in such a long time. 7 nation army encore - Icky Thump - Death Letter Blues - Jolene - can't remember them all but it was a great night. I just got lucky when the tix went on sale and am really glad I did - that was soooo much fun. Highlight wsa the crowd clapping nearly triple-time during the last verse of 7 nation army and Jack and Meg were struggling to keep up - Jack let out a big laugh and a "Wow!" and they just friggin rocked it - it was too much
  7. First post - odd it's here. I moved from DC to Nashville about 5 years ago. I miss the heck out of DC but I really love Nashville. The folks are really nice and the music is crazy - the options for shows nearly any given night is unreal. DC is a great city (I'm from NY and miss it there too, but I loved DC) but Nashville is less grimy, gritty and self absorbed. I wish you the best of luck back in DC. I think about moving back every now and then but once I compare the cost of living, I'm happy to be in in Nashvegas eatin' rhinestones. Greg in Nashville
