  1. Seriously. They create a fun live atmosphere, but Wayne is, like, Anthony Keidis-level bad outside the studio.
  2. If you're into terrible vocals, you'll love it.
  3. I was as skeptical as anybody else when the term "marching band" came up, but nobody better front like they didn't just kill it.

It looks like the I-65 bridge over the Alabama River just north of Mobile. Don't know what the official name is, all I've ever heard it called is the Dolly Parton bridge, for obvious reasons. Its not a terribly unique bridge design, so who knows if it is, but it would make sense considering they're including the Mobile show.
  5. Its looking like my attendance is going to be a game time decision.
  6. I live in Mobile, and I was pretty stunned, as well. I drove all the way to Meridian (Pat's homecoming gig, unbeknownst to me at the time) to see them a few years back based purely on the belief that it was probably as close as they were going to get. Needless to say, I did a double-take when I saw the show here pop up on the tour docket. Mobile is not really a hip music town. Its more of a Three Doors Down kinda place, you know? They've been making some strides recently, though. As for the place not selling out yet: For one thing, I have no idea who's idea it was to use the Civic Cent
  7. Good track. Like most Wilco, it doesn't rock as hard as it does live, but that's okay. It definitely wouldn't have fit on the record, though. All the screaming and the drum break would've stuck out like a sore thumb in the grand scheme of things.
  8. That was my first impression after hearing the Walken recording. The criticisms people are leveling at this take of the song are the same sort of criticisms you could level at the majority of the songs on YHF and AGIB. Most of the songs they've recorded over the past 6 or 7 years lack the same punch and bombastic quality of the live performances. This really doesn't seem like that new of a development to me.
