  1. Any chance anyone has an extra show poster from this night? I somehow didn't see that there was a show specific poster and figured I'd wait until the weekend to get the 4 night poster. With the Duval's being a set I really need night 1.
  2. Wilco hit the stage tonight at 8:30 and main set ended around 10 and encores ended at 10:35.
  3. best "reserved seat" pulls ever for Wilco. night 1, Orchestra pit AAA, night 2, 4L BB, night 3, center loge AA.
  4. Tonight's episode has the distinct voice of Mr. Tweedy covering "Let's Find Each Other Tonight" by Jose Feliciano. Anyone know anything more about this? Was odd as the show is usually pretty authentic to the time period (1979) with pop culture references.
  5. Couldn't agree more. I was there with a friend who is a casual Wilco fan and he was not thrilled with the playing of Star Wars front to back. But then when they broke out Camera....he was like "ok, that was pretty amazing". Felt like they just wanted to get these songs out of their system in a live setting. You know like when you buy a present for someone but have to wait months for them to open it...you just want them to get what you picked out for them. I'd only listened to the new record once before heading to Pitchfork. Can say like most Wilco stuff seeing/hearing it live really br
  6. Are Wilco tickets getting more expensive as time goes on? Yes. Have I ever left a Wilco / Tweedy / Jeff solo acoustic show thinking I didn't get my money's worth? No. Since I moved to Chicago 5 years ago, I think other than food/housing/gas I've spent more money on Wilco than anything else (shows/posters/vinyl) and don't regret a penny. ....and what gets me isn't the "ticket price" its the difference between that price and what I end up paying (convenience fees...oh the irony, facility fees, taxes, ticket delivery fee, etc). I just bought tickets to see Jenny Lewis at the Vic. The t
  7. As part of the "Chicago Power 100" list they have a "Who is Chicago's most legendary rocker?" poll... http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/March-2015/Power-100/Jeff-Tweedy-Billy-Corgan/
  8. Ice throwing is a bit out of line. I saw security trying to get two people in the front row of the balcony to sit down last night and the people just argued with them and then they finally sat down. I think its all unwritten concert etiquette...if you're the only one standing in a seated area...you might want to go down to where everyone else is standing and be among like minded fans. Bottom line is just to be respectful to those around you. Without being able to sit in the balcony for the majority of the sets, there is no way I'd still be functional after tonight which will be my 7th s
  9. Best Jeff banter of the night: After Panthers..."So that was a repeat....but was it the same? You don't know....Glenn played with a casual detachment. Nels used a thinner pick, Pat was thinking about Xmas. Mike is a robot he's always thinking the same thing. (Mimes robot). He's the only one we can program to do things the same. You ever been to Chuckee Cheese? That's where we got him. He could only play the banjo back then"
  10. I did some setlist data crunching. So far 120 songs have been played...and only 10 songs have repeated (although in different formats each time) Art of Almost - album version (Night 2) and hootenanny (Night 1) Box Full of Letters - waltz (Night 2) and album version (Night 3) Camera/Kamera - Camera (Night 1) and Kamera (Night 4) Dawned on Me - album version (Night 1) and hootenanny (Night 3) I Got You - album version (Night 2) and hootenanny (Night 4) I'm the Man Who Loves You - no horns (Night 1), with The Total Pros (Night 3), hootenanny (Night 2) Misunderstood - album
  11. My favorite Jeff banter of the night: "this has been a big hit for Taylor Swift this year..." (launches into "Shake it Off") ------------ I did some setlist data crunching. So far 120 songs have been played...and only 10 songs have repeated (although in different formats each time) Art of Almost - album version (Night 2) and hootenanny (Night 1) Box Full of Letters - waltz (Night 3) and album version (Night 2) Camera/Kamera - Camera (Night 1) and Kamera (Night 4) Dawned on Me - album version (Night 1) and hootenanny (Night 3) I Got You - album version (Night 2) and hootenanny (Night
  12. yes! finally got night 2. all 6 acquired...now to save money for posters.
  13. Had a friend back out on me so I have an extra GA Pit ticket for the show. Looking for face ($70) or best offer. I'm in the south suburbs so could meet to do the exchange. tbcook {at} gmail dot com is my email address. Thanks
  14. I really hope the first 30 people in line tonight are in a better mood and pick some more up-tempo/fun songs in the tweedy catalog. I'm not sure I can make it through "Dirgefest Part Two"... highlights for me were One Wing, The Long Cut, and the cover of A Simple Twist of Fate.
