  1. I've overheard people say similar things at multiple Wilco/Tweedy shows. People love to create rock and roll myths...
  2. LOVE it. Lots of weird, interesting stuff going on in that song. Best part is that we get 19(!) more.
  3. I know Jeff has talked about watching TV shows like The First 48 (http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/2689280?utm_hp_ref=chicago&ir=Chicago&ncid=edlinkusaolp00000008), and while to each his own, I think this article makes clear how problematic that and related shows are: http://www.miaminewtimes.com/2014-01-16/news/the-first-48-makes-millions-off-imprisoning-innocents/
  4. http://www.grammy.com/nominees?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Referral&utm_campaign=20131206_GNTWF See #68. I bet he never thought he'd see his name among that company...
  5. New record is streaming on NPR: http://www.npr.org/2013/03/03/172979166/first-listen-phosphorescent-muchacho?ps=mh_fl Also, is it just me, or does anyone else here a big nod to John Prine's "All the Best" on "Song for Zula"?
  6. bbop sighting at Justin Townes Earle's Forecastle set!
  7. No, it most likely means that they set aside a number of tickets for people affiliated in one way or another with the school. This makes sense, as it's a benefit for the school. If people affiliated with the school do not buy up the number set aside, then those will be released to the general public. No science fair project, no shrinking, just some basic logic.
  8. I'm attending for the first time tonight! Anyone been before? How was it?
  9. Bump. Feel free to text/call well after doors open if you've got an extra.
  10. The title says it all. Text me at 847-293-8459 if you've got an extra.
  11. Friend is sick and cannot go. If interested, please text me at (847) 293-8459. Obviously just asking face, which is $55 (fees included). I probably will get the tickets around 7 PM.
  12. I may be wrong but I think I saw bbop side-stage during the show last night, and on stage with the roadies during Outta Mind (Outta Sight). Was that you, Paul?
  13. Looks like this guy has you covered. http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/tix/2724414327.html
  14. Suites and Sarah, sorry for my overreaction. I apologize for the aggressive language- I know you were both just trying to be helpful. Again, sorry.
  15. I asked because I wanted to know the exact price. I had absolutely no other reason for asking . I looked for the information on other sources first and could not find it, so I came here. I figured someone on ViaChicago may have bought a ticket and therefore had that information. Explain to me how that is irrational?
  16. Oh, come on Sarah. I asked a question where the only responsive answer was something like "$45, $52.50 after fees." I'm well aware of the ticket situation for these shows. I've had tickets to similar Wilco shows in the past. A friend has bailed last minute and Ive sold the extra for face. I just want to know what face value is- nothing else at all. That is the only fucking question mark in my post. If that is too much to ask, then I'll receive no responses. However, any other response is just someone being a jerk. Answer or don't say anything at all. Is that too much to ask?!? I tried
  17. I can't believe Larry David is your picture- how ironic. I asked a simple question. I even qualified it to avoid moronic responses like the one you gave. Thanks for the lecture, asshole.
  18. What is face value + any fees for the upcoming Riviera and, if it differs, Vic show? I'm in the market for a ticket and would like to know because I don't want to pay much, if any, more than that. I'm well aware of how the ticketing works for these shows, so I know my only real chance is to use someone's second. Thanks in advance.
  19. Jason Isbell @ Rock and Roll Hotel, with a big group of friends. Excited to hear some cuts from his new album.
  20. I'm going to see Smith Westerns at the Rock and Roll Hotel in DC. Pretty excited...
  21. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2010/11/bright-eyes-announce-new-album.html It will be interesting to see how this one turns out.
  22. I thought Santa Fe was one of the best songs on the record, but we're in full agreeance on The Flying Wallendas.
