  1. I couldn't agree more with the review above. The venue was sweet, sound was excellent, the crowd was great and not uptight at all, security was chill, and the band looked to be having a blast. The new songs really set the tone and they all worked for me. Was great to be back in the zone w Wilco again.
  2. We're seeing them in Albuquerque this Sunday, and I fear my better half won't be too impressed with all the new material. But, she's a "hits" kinda gal and I still love her. Me, I'm just wanting to let the performance of new songs make me hear Wilco in a new light. The seated venue in ABQ is pretty undersold at this point, looks to be about 2/3 full at best. Here's hoping for s special night!
  3. Got a nice pair for Albuquerque and it'll be our first show in several years, can't wait!
  4. Here's the New Pornographers recording, I'm really happy with it- http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=594775 http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=599053
  5. Recording link to Dime up now- http://viachicago.org/topic/52539-wilco-velorama-festival-denver-co-08-11-2017/
  6. Loved the show last night, the only song on the set list and not played was Spiders, although it looks to have been an option for set closer along with Late Greats. I was able to make a nice recording of both bands and hope to share those online sometime next week.
  7. 8. I'll be near Camden next week and will take them if still available! Thanks either way.
  9. Hail hail the lucky ones! We were listening and smiling and recording and singing along from the great Southwest. And the energy there in Mass came through just fine...thanks to the band and YOU ALL that were there! Here's a link to an mp3 version of the stream capture, nothing special quality-wise but perhaps it'll hold you over until the official Roadcase release- https://we.tl/xz5pjvR0iW
  10. It'll most likely be the closest they'll play to me this year, so I am in!
  11. I apologize if this was already posted. Wilco and The New Pornographers, Friday August 11th Denver CO. The venue appears to be outdoors in the street downtown. On sale at axs.com. Tix are ONLY $25 each plus service charge right now. Presale password is- ROCKANDRACE17 Death Cab for Cutie headlines the next night.
  12. No offense taken Robby, and yes that paragraph is quite busy.
  13. It means that there is a security setting that almost every band and business uses that allows "anyone" to see the content of their Facebook page, but of course if you're not a member of Facebook you can't post to it. For example, Wilco's Facebook page, which I and I'm sure others reference all the time. https://www.facebook.com/wilcohq This link explains "how" a Facebook site might do what I asked about- http://www.opal-creations.co.uk/blog/free-tips-tricks/howto-make-your-facebook-business-page-visible-to-non-facebook-users
  14. I guess I should have titled the thread "this article says something nice about Wilco but feel free to find other issues with it"
  15. FYI the link here is not to the same Lefsetz article referenced earlier- here's the Wilco mention I'm referring to- "Brands kill bands. But businessmen love to commission and players are so angry no one knows them they tie in with corporations to get ahead but they’re being left behind. Your best hope is to align yourself with those who care, your fans, who will ensure longevity if you play it right. Best example, Wilco. The press loves them, their fans do too, and nobody who doesn’t care already ever will. This is the modern paradigm. Just as long as you’re willing to be Wilco. (And no amou
  16. Hopefully they'll open up the site sometime soon so non-Facebook users can view it.
  17. Lefsetz has been writing about the music industry for many years. It used to be an industry only blog so you had to pay for it but it became free several years ago. He's really good at stirring the pot and pissing industry types off.
  18. Not sure how many of you follow this guy, but I have been for years and in my opinion he is typically spot-on correct about the music industry. http://lefsetz.com/wordpress/index.php/archives/2015/08/11/what-we-know-2/
  19. Thanks to whoever made this video available via Dropbox, you rock! And thanks to Wilco for bringing me Christmas in July! I sure love me some Star Wars....
