  1. Consider me stunned, shocked and amazed. I'm just off to write a letter home about the whole ordeal
  2. right, so number of shows attended is directly proportionate to being interesting is it? seriously, this is like trainspotting with songs or something.
  3. There is literally nothing interesting about that.

    Pat V Nels

doesnt mean theres anything impressive about it.

Get lost. both of them aren't guitarists, just boring fretw***ers. that isnt guitar playing.

    Pat V Nels

nels is just more of an effort player. he's insanely brilliant. pat is ace too, but nels is so unconventional in his phrasing, thats why he's so good
  7. i think the tonality of the song is more based in C minor, not Eb major. The intro is mostly just c notes played in octaves, and then alternates between playing a Bb and an Eb over the C, like this: intro ---- -13- ---- -10- ---- ---- verse ---- -11- ---- -10- ---- ---- then -11- ---- ---- -10- ---- ---- it moves between those two, its pretty obvious when it changes. not sure about the arpeggio chords behind them though. the "this cant be undone" bit is surely G - F instead of F# - F and the riff after it goes ----------- ----------- 5-5-5-3-7-5 ----------- 3-3-3-1-5-3 --
  8. luck of the irish or what!! i was praying for poor places in london, but you got reservations aswell?!?! bloody hell, thats just not fair
  9. as for regulars, i was shocked at how many american voices i heard down the front. they play lots of american shows, right?
  10. i honestly cant fault them for playing it. Spiders is an amazing song, and the tension they build through it is incredible. you can see how much they love playing it too, Glenn bashing seven shades out of his kit in the riff sections is worth the entrance fee!
  11. Thats because they are unbelieveable live songs!!! i dont know how the band could get tired of playing them and people could get tired of seeing them!! theyre amazing songs!!!
  12. This was my first time seeing Wilco, and before the gig i spent ages talking about how i wanted this song or that song, but the truth is, it really doesnt matter what they play. The intensity they put into EVERY song is incredible! Nels was on fire last night, throwing his guitar around and pulling screaming feedback out of his pedals. His lead playing on Forget the Flowers had Jeff grinning his face off!! There were so many highlights - Radio Cure was a nice surprise, and Nels laid his magic all over that too - BBN was immense, the duel on Handshake was insane!!! Here's the printed setlist
  13. its not small, its got a 2500 capacity!!! hoping for a few surprises in the set, but its my first time seeing them after the last tour got cancelled so im just thrilled to get to see them.
  14. opening with bull black nova???? holy crap, if that happens tomorrow night in london i may burst with joy
