  1. Does anyone know much about the venue Wilco is playing at in Denton? I am trying to figure out exactly where they are playing. They aren't playing in the "armadillo" off 35 are they? On Google maps it looks like it is in a building closer to Fry Street. Thanks for your help, can't wait!
  2. My wife and I went as part of our honeymoon. Flew to NYC from Dallas, spent a few days in the city and then rented a car to see the show. We were front row and had a blast. Would have liked a little longer show but it was great. That was my first solo show. Wish there would have been a true gig poster and I have yet to find a recording. Let me know if anyone knows of a recording.
  3. Just got an e-mail from Wilco saying they did not print a poster for the Memphis show. I wonder how they decide which shows and why they wouldn't print one for Memphis when it looks like they have had posters for every other show on this leg of the tour. Disappointed to say the least, there goes my streak.
  4. You would be surprised how two people can almost ruin an experience. There were two different couples at the Dallas show who almost made my wife and I move towards the back away from the crowd. I feel if you are willing to waste a day and stand in line you deserve a good spot. I am tired of the "cute girl" or drunk couple pushing their way through the crowd and stopping right in front of me. Yes there might be a very small space in front of me but I would like that space to breathe a little. I know people are going to be dancing and having fun. The occasional bump doesn't bother me. I a
  5. Just because there is a small space to fit into doesn't mean it is okay. That is just my opinion but we had the same problem in Dallas. It is nice to not be smashed together and that doesn't start to happen until people like you decide you can worm your way to the front even though people waited in line all day. Sorry if this comes off as rude, again it is just my opinion but I think I have to side with the guys and gals yelling at you even if they might have gone about it in a better way.
  6. Noticed there isn't a poster up for the Austin show either. I wonder why they skipped those two shows. I have bought a Wilco poster for every show I have been to. I guess now I relax my obsessive-compulsive disorder and not worry about picking up a poster for every show I attend. Might pick up the tour poster to make myself feel a little better.
  7. No news on poster? Was there a poster for the Memphis show? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. My question might have got lost in my rant yesterday, but does anyone know if there was a show poster for Memphis? They don't have one up for Memphis or Austin, was just curious. Thanks.
  9. My first thought on the Memphis show is more of a question. Was there a show poster that night? All I saw was the full tour poster and I didn’t see one up on the store site yet. As for my review of the show: My wife and I drove in from Fort Worth for the show Saturday. We were both very excited after the great show we had seen Friday in Dallas and the fact that we had 5th row seats center. Unfortunately most of those good vibes went away once the show started. First I was disappointed more people didn’t show up for Liam Finn. What a great show and from the looks of it the place wasn’
  10. I was at the Dallas show and a guy behind me kept hitting me in the back of the head all night with his elbows while video taping the show. Come on! He recorded at least half of the show. How much fun can that be anyway?
  11. Just pulled Orchestra center-right, row F for the Memphis show. We were planning on going to Memphis once the Dallas date disappeared, but I couldn't pass up on good seats like these. Glad to hear The Orpheum Theatre is a great place to see a show. I guess now we will be seeing Wilco in Dallas and Memphis. Should be a fun weekend.
  12. I just noticed that and came here to see what was going on. I was already thinking about heading to Memphis, if they don't play the Dallas show I will have to make the drive west to catch them. Are you with me Jason?
  13. My wife had told me to take a little road trip and go see Wilco last night. From the sound of the crowd I'm glad I didn't make the drive from Texas. At least I have OKC to look forward to in June.
  14. We came up from Texas and had a great time Saturday night. I was a little disappointed that the show was so short considering how much we paid for tickets. Being front row though was incredible. This was my first solo show and I can't wait to see another. My last complaint which may sound weird, but I was very disappointed there was no concert poster. I bought the cheap five dollar one but was wanting something a little nicer to remember my first solo show. I can not wait to hear this show when it goes up.
  15. Got my tickets in the mail today. Still wondering how the pull to meet Tweedy will work.
