  1. Holy fanboy review. This is above and beyond ridiculous. Radiohead doesn't even have the discography of Bowie or the Stones, let alone the Beatles.
  2. It's forgettable crap. I don't know anyone who still listens to it. It will be remembered for it's marketing scheme, not for it's subpar, retread music.
  3. Pink Floyd was the first underground band, and Syd started art rock. Research the UFO Club in London 66-67.
  4. Smart move releasing his best Truckers material on a live album after that mediocre studio release.
  5. I can't believe they just got the 64-71 Stones. Huge windfall for Emusic. Goood for them. I join up for about three months a year, then quit, then join again. They don't get stuff in fast enough for me.
  6. hahha yeah that might be the coolest solo/tone ever.
  7. Nah. The Paranoid Android freakout sounds exactly like the stuff Gilmour was doing in "Astronomy Domine" live in 68-69.
  8. Poncho and Lefty - Townes Van Zandt Dear Prudence - The Beatles Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands - Dylan Rock n Roll - Led Zeppelin Johny B Goode - Chuck Berry Lodi - CCR Ripple - The Grateful Dead Blue - The Jayhawks Back In Black - AC/DC There are a few.
  9. Gilmour (probably the king of texture/tone- had several different gorgeous trademark sounds) Barrett (his crazy distorted work on Piper was groundbreaking to say the least) Hendrix ( the ultimate guitar god, who also happened to be friends with Barrett) Those three changed it all IMHO. The Edge's sound can be heard on "re-emergence" from Echoes and Run Like Hell. the following: Page Townsend Fripp Angus Young Neil Young
  10. Abbey Road - Beatles Blonde on Blonde - Dylan American Beauty - Grateful Dead Tomorrow The Green Grass - The Jayhawks Sticky Fingers - The Rolling Stones Our Mother The Mountain - Townes Van Zandt It's a Wonderful Life - Sparklehorse Meddle - Pink Floyd Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts - M83 The Soft Bulletin - The Flaming Lips The Sophtware Slump - Grandaddy You Are There - Mono Blueberry Boat - The Fiery Furnaces Sea Change - Beck Ragged Glory - Neil Young Ys - Joanna Newsom The Dirty South - The Drive By Truckers In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson Days of Future Passed -
  11. I thought these guys retired with the Spin Doctors?
  12. Chris Robinson ruined Vagabonds IMHO. And yeah, the title cut is amazing.
  13. Hey Hoback - Did you get your name from that amazing area south of Grand Teton?
  14. 1. David Gilmour 2. Jimmi Hendrix 3. Jimmy Page 4. Chuck Berry 5. Jerry Garcia 6. Pete Townsend 7. Keith Richards 8. Greg Allman 9. Eddie Van Halen 10. Neil Young The rest don't matter.
