  1. A good night, and Jeff's banter to the guy with the lighter was pretty funny. Jeff mentioned that while touring in Europe they have been telling everyone that waltzes have been making a big comeback in the states. So if we run into any Europeans, they'd appreciate it if we could back them up on that.
  2. A long time ago I heard a song of a brother singing about his little sister, and I was sure that it was Jeff Tweedy on vocals. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Any help greatly appreciated- Lisa
  3. I heard from a friend that Jeff needed a little help from the crowd with the lyrics to Spiders/Kidsmoke...wish I was there!!!!
  4. I stood and I would say there were maybe 20 other people in the audience who did the same That stinks! I wonder how different the crowd would have been if you and those other 20 people were up front. Sometimes you can blame a setlist, but not in this case. Did the crowd get into Kingpin?
  5. His voice just gets better and better. I think he never picked up two of the guitars on stage (I might be wrong), so his setlist was more fluid with all the shout-out requests. The acoustics in the balcony were okay, but it was impossible to hear the banter between songs - and that's the best part! Loved the show. Too much time wasted with shout-outs, but hilarious when someone called out Slayer and Jeff jokingly tried a line. Awesome.
  6. Great pictures! I was sitting (standing!) on the other side in front of Pat and couldn't believe that my row B seats were up front. Wasn't it a great show?! I'm so glad the St Louis shows are online so I can relive Albuquerque a bit. I'll never get to see them that close again, but with them on stage, I've always believed that there is no such thing as a bad seat at one of their concerts. I guess I'll find out at Lollapalooza when I have to peer over thousands of people. I was cameraless that night and there was a nice couple in the center section across the aisle from me shooting away,
  7. I had a similar moment today driving around! When "Hate it Here" came one, I remembered how JT was a little distracted after playing with his hair, and he checked the mail, he checked the mail, he checked the mail again. What a great show. I had no idea what kind of crowd it was going to be, and worried about taking slack from someone if I stood in front of them for the whole show. No problem, because no one ever sat down. Fingers crossed that some generous soul shares their 5/9 tape with us....
  8. You were very discreet, and moved around quietly and quickly. I was lucky to end up in the front row at the show and am really glad you were there to take those amazing pics. Thank you!
  9. The people who left at least stood the whole time they were there. There are a lot of GA venues coming up, but those of us who are height challenged like reserved seats sometimes because we're guaranteed a view. I promise - the only thing ever in my seat is my coat.
  10. Are those the two that left before the main set was over? I was off to their right and felt sick in the pit of my stomach when I saw them leave.
