  1. I have 2 extra tickets for the November 14th St. Louis show at the Fox Theatre. Section OR01, row O, seats 29 & 31. These seats are together and on the inside aisle. Asking face value which is $45 each. I can accept Paypal or meet in person if you are in the St. Louis area. Thanks!
  2. I read an interview with either Jeff or Glenn where this was discussed. This was actual a fire or fire drill that happened when the band was staying at a hotel in England. The voice you hear is someone from the hotel taking a role call of guests to make sure everyone got out. Evidently Glenn loves recording odd things on his phone and he recorded this. I don't remember which interview but it was one that happened shortly after Whole Love came out and I know I read the interview because a link was posted here on Via Chicago.
  3. slingshot_scott: I was sitting in row F on the left and saw that guy punch you. How obnoxious. This was my fourth Wilco show and at the previous three EVERYONE stood up the WHOLE time, so I was really surprised that people sat. Wilco is not a sit-down kind of show, IMO. Besides, they blew the gold leaf off the Peabody Opera House, so why would you want to sit? I thought it was amazing and much more elaborate then what they were able to do at the Pageant. Opening with One Sunday Morning was a bold choice and I was really surprised by it but it was great to hear it live.
  4. 1. Believe it or not, I had never heard Wilco until they appeared on "Austin City Limits" right after SBS came out. Was flipping through the channels and the first notes of their first song (I Am Your Face) made me stop. I knew after a couple songs that it was the best band I had ever heard. Kept trying to wake up the hubby (who was napping) saying "You've got to hear this!" That didn't work, he kept falling back asleep. Researched them on line that night (couldn't believe they were originally from STL)and bought SBS the next morning. I have been obsessed ever since. 2. Went to the Fri
  5. Yes...must be my work computer...they block everything that might be fun or interesting.
  6. Can anyone post the full article here? When I click on the link it takes me to Pitchfork but won't let me read the full article...
  7. Wow...I hope they have a good insurance policy. I can't imagine the loss if there were to be a fire, earthquake or Godzilla attack.
