  1. U2 roolz, I couldn't open that pic but the background was a quilty/ cloth thing that would change color. They also had cool on stage lights behind them that resembled candleabras. Also, the image on that Wilco spinner link from that external review was not from last night's show. Can anyone tell that i'm unemployed and have nothing else to do today?
  2. Thanks Terrapin Ben for the setlist, I forgot to write things down in all my excitement. One song I know you forgot was Casino Queen (psychadelic Gibson SG for all you guitar nuts) in the encore. I also think you have songs in the encore that were actually in the main set, but anyway. They opened the encore with their take on Neil Young's Broken Arrow which they debuted last week at the Neil benefit to rave reviews. Neil fans won't be dissapointed. They are totally faithful to the Neil arrangement even with the Oboe/string break in the middle, duplicated by Pat on the Synth with great gus
  3. I can't believe Feb 7th is finally here! I'm looking forward to a high energy show since this is the tour opener and the band is all rested up and ready to rock again. I intend to start a thread in the morning with setlist and highlights etc.. I'm recruiting the chatty homeless guy to record all songs for me so I can have both hands free for drinking. BTW, is this same chatty homelss guy that crashed the Cracker concert last fall? See ya'll in the AM. (not the album)
  4. Wow, thank you for that 90's nostalgia trip. I think We've Been Had is my favorite UT song by Mr Tweedy. It even inspired my screen name. If i thought they would actually play any UT songs I would request them at Wilco shows. I think The Long Cut or We've Been Had would be epic with the 3 guitar assault.
  5. I finally figured out why Wilco hasn't sold out the Feb 7th show in Missoula. Luckily for me I am a way bigger Wilco fan than sports fan. Last time they played the Adams Center it was easy enough to get right in the front row by Jeff's amp. Holy shit, what if my buddies and I are the only ones at the gig!?!
  6. Does anyone out there know if this is going to be televised? The Musicares website was vague.
  7. Whenever I think of favorite guitar solos, Neil Young leaps to my mind. While he has so many mind melting solos to choose from, Powderfinger has to be my favorite. Take your pick between the Live Rust or Weld version, you can't go wrong.
  8. Ajax- I think you're on to something here. I would go even further to say that WTA is the most Beatlesque Wilco album to date. The George Harrison stylings on You Never Know are the most obvious but I immediately thought Wilco (the song)kinda sounded like Hey Bulldog.
  9. I for one am stoked that Missoula Montana was chosen as the tour opener. I beleive this will be their 3rd or 4th visit to the Garden City. We have a great Wilco fan base in this town although I am suprised that the venue isn't sold out yet. Missoula also happens to be where the outstanding Ashes of American Flags had it's world premiere last spring at the Big Sky Film Fest. Anyway, with the band starting this tour after a month in the studio I can't wait to be in the audience for a potential new song debut.
