    A Cherry Ghost
  1. The first time I tried @10:01, they gave me lawn The second time was balcony. The third time was orchestra. I wouldn't give up. These presales are really weird...
  2. Thanks for the code. I scored two tickets for Orchestra Left, row M. I'm terribly excited since I haven't seen them for at least two years!
  3. While not exclusively, I'm hearing a lot of classic rock tunes. How about a return to their roots and play White Freight Liner Blues, London Homesick Blues, or Up Against the Wall Redneck Mothers? I'd also love to hear them cover anything by Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, the Old 97s or Cracker.
  4. Fully agree with opinion re: DD. I've seen them live three times in small venues and they really, really impressed. From my vantage point in Section 104, there seemed to be more Avetts fans than Wilco fans. The sound quality in Section 104 during DD and Wilco was very poor - we couldn't hear Nels very much But for some reason, the Avetts sounded very good in comparison. I went in with the expectation that it would be a festival show and that we would not get the full Wilco experience. I was not disappointed (except for the poor sound way off to the side - next time only the middle seats
  5. I'm going with my wife and four kids. It'll be the first nighttime show for three of them. Really looking forward to this!
  6. I have eight tickets and only my wife and four kids are going. You can choose from either of two different pairs of hard tickets. The first pair is Section 104, row J, seats 21-22 for total cost of $110. In an effort to unload these, I'll eat the already-paid service charge and delivery fee. The second pair is really close to the pit/stage in Section 101, row G, seats 1-2 for a total of $136. I'm not willing to eat the service charge and delivery fee since they're such great seats. (To be quite honest, I'm hoping you'll take the Section 104 seats and I'll sit with my son in Section 101...)
  7. It was the Front Gate presale (at 10:00 EDT) before the Avett Bros presale (at 12:15 EDT).
  8. If anyone knows the presale PW, can you please message me? I'm trying to score tix for my kids, too, this time and can use all the pre-sale help I can get.
  9. This was my seventh show - first one at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I actually thought the crowd (from my perspective at row N of center-left) was a bunch of duds. I mean, what's with these people? The greatest live band (currently) and they can't get excited! I'd say that all but one of the tunes from The Whole Love sounded pretty much like the studio version, which is fine and to be expected, except for Born Alone. Born Alone had something extra special Other than the crowd, the whole show seemed a bit short. Weird... I guess that next time, if my only chance to see them is to sit in
  10. This sums up the explanation that I've been struggling to come up with. The same thing could not have been said to the same degree with respect to SBS and W(TA).
  11. Anyone know how to capture this? We're pre-ordered and seeing them before the release.
  12. Row N, Left Center for Columbia, MD. I tried two simultaneous purchases of two tickets each. The first one (center pavilion) failed to go all the way through the ticketing process, but the second one (left center pavilion) did.
