    A Cherry Ghost
  1. Being There is my favourite. I feel sorry for people who don't connect with it ;-) It was my intro to Wilco and is still my favourite (just). YHF has some great tunes but it is the only album I never really connected 100% with (struggling with the latest one a little too, though it is growing on me). I love Summerteeth and A Ghost Is Born and absolutely adore Sky Blue Sky. So glad I went to the Auckland show because we got bugger all of the old school rock'n'roll at the Wellington one (you would have loved that set list!). The Being There tunes that they still play a lot, and Hoodoo Vood
  2. When a woman called out in Wellington, and a small conversation about "talking at concerts" ensued, Jeff finished it with a classic: "I'm sorry, this is a coincidence, but this next song is about hitting women..." Cue: "She's a Jar"
  3. Auckland and Wellington - my 3rd and 4th Wilco shows of the last 2 years. Went to th the first one with one of my best mates (my partner in a brewery that has a beer called Pot Kettle Black!)... he'd not heard much beforehand and certainly wasn't a fun. He was buzzing like nothing else afterwards. It was an outstanding show with perfect sound and an excellent set list. Loved jeff's lollipop guitar, yet another guitar with oustanding tone! Also the splendid end with the Being There tracks and Hoodoo Voodoo... Rock'n'roll!!! The second gig was with my girlfriend, another Wilco fan of almos
  4. As a matter of fact we're heading to Melbourne in a few weeks to check out a few options... There will be a few kegs at Young and Jackson's in mid-late May. Hopefully fairly regular bottle runs after that but we are tiny. More XXXX would evaporate each year than what we make all up! Cheers Stu
  5. Yep - Yeastie Boys 'Pot Kettle Black'. Cheers - Still buzzing about the gigs and the girl!
  6. This'll be the show I remember on my deathbed, even though I reckon the AKL one was a shade better...
  7. Thanks for the setlist! I went to both shows too. I did wonder if anyone else had... it's good to know that someone did. I couldn't really pick one as a better show than the other... I was amazed at how different the set lists were (not that I should be given their catalogue) and I'm really really glad I went to both shows. The sound in AKL was better and I was in a perfect seat (in the middle - great sound, and I could see Brodie dancing!)... I loved the way the intensity built up there, and it was great to hear a few more Being There tracks (especially "Oattasite" and "Monday", two of
