  1. I love SBS, but TWL is a more interesting album from top to bottom. SBS lags a little on the back half.
  2. I got to meet Sarah C in line before the gates opened. I am happy to say she did get her front row spot, directly in front of Jeff. You can thank her for Magazine Called Sunset making the set list as well. I was glad to meet her. She was super nice!
  3. Saw this on twitter this morning... http://stereogum.com...10/top-stories/
  4. I've seen a few shows at Sloss. It is definitely GA. Get there early though. The acoustics are terrible if you are standing towards the back.
  5. For reals? We could earn a spot on your blog...like for reals? I was at the Ryman night one and it blew me away. Except they didn't play via Chicago. I can live with that.
  6. http://austincitylimits.org/ Taping is scheduled for November 30
  7. Great! Now I can't wait to get home to check my mail.
  8. I agree. I was hesitant after i listed The Band, but i decided to throw caution to the wind...
  9. I ask this because I have heard them played twice lately on the Jam On station on Sirius XM. I admit I do love to hear the intricate instrumentals they create, but a jam band? When I hear jam band, I think the likes of Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Phish, Dave Matthews Band, The Band, Allman Brothers. I hesitate to put Wilco in that same category.
  10. I really like the daytrotter sessions that I have heard. I'm glad they're doing this. I wish the could do another Austin City Limits too
  11. I've listened a few times now and it seems that i like the album more with subsequent listens (much like I Might). I loved Art of Almost (great show opener IMO), Dawned on Me, Rising Red Lung, Black Moon, and Born Alone. There aren't really any songs I just didn't care for except maybe Sunloathe (the jury is still out). I think that lyrically TWL is fairly abstract, but I need to go back and really focus on the words to be sure. Overall, very solid record I think. I can't wait to see Tweedy and Co. step out on the stage at the Ryman in Oct!
