    Really, really love Wilco
  1. Pretty surprised that I only had to pay 45 bucks for these tickets. I remember when they had the pre sale for a Sky Blue Sky show and thanks to scalpers and wholesalers the cheapest tickets were 80 bucks.
  2. Should be noted that Wilco played their entire catalog in 2008 at the Riviera in Chicago My link. They even performed the unreleased "Cars Can't Escape" which may be the most heartbreaking song I've ever heard. They didn't go through the whole catalog sequentially which definitely allowed them to show off just how adventurous a band they are.
  3. Yeah I was pretty disappointed with that. I had it as my #3 but still not enough to bump it in there. If you type "wilco gorankem" into google you can rank their songs, and by all means try and get Ashes in there.
  4. A fellow Wilco aficionado turned me on to this interesting site called GoRankem last week. It allows anyone to rank their favorite artists songs (between 5 and 20 at the most) and compare their rankings to others. He showed me his Wilco rankings, which were good but obviously I had some serious bones to pick with it. Here's what the 30 or so members ranked as their top ten: 1)Jesus, Etc. 2)I am Trying to Break your Heart 3)Heavy Metal Drummer
  5. Good news is that this place shows up first if you type "wilco message board" or "wilco forum" into Google. Way more effective than a site mention.
  6. 1. I first heard "She's a Jar" when I was in fifth grade on our local alternative radio station. It didn't sound like all the grunge and alt rock they were playing at the time. I was still not musically mature enough to appreciate it, but it remained in the back of my mind. I bought Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in the beginning of 2003 after a Amazon showed them in the similar artists category. Needless to say my life hasn't quite been the same since. 2. I saw them in 2005 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. They are the only band I've ever seen come out for two encor
