  1. This really was a great, great show. Loved the venue and the love between the band. Can't wait for the next one!
  2. I thought it was a great show! Second time bringing the whole family out. Looking forward to seeing them again tonight in Ann Arbor. Thanks (as always) for the setlist!
  3. Elk goulash, but that's ok. It's been 11 years. Did you go to the Calvin College Tweedy show in GR this past October?
  4. I was thrilled to be back at a show last night for the first time since Denver 2007 (not coincidently the last shows before we had kids.) It was a phenomenal show, easily one of the best (if not the best) show I've seen them play. Such a great mix of old favorites and songs from the last two albums I hadn't heard live yet. Next up, taking the kids to a show!

Green will win it this year. Also, this post constitutes my pick for your '09 champions.
  11. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: March 20, 2009 FROM: THE NATIONAL INDEPENDENT CONSUMERS AND FARMERS ASSOCIATION (NICFA) RE: BILL TO INDUSTRIALIZE FAMILY FARMS CONTACT: Deborah Stockton 434.295.7176 info@nicfa.org Washington DC-A bill creating a Food Safety Administration authorized to oversee management of every family farm in the United States is under consideration in Congress. HR 875, the "Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009" sponsored by Rep. Rosa De Lauro (D-CT), also has a companion bill, S510 in the Senate. Because the new Administrator would be authorized to microma
  12. The reason I posted this is because the wording is so nebulous. What will this do to organic farmers? It really seems to be designed to cut into the type of farmer who would produce organically for a farmers market. It has big business fingerprints all over it, and is written to control how food that is sold for profit is guarded against "foreign contaminants." Again, so nebulous. Is this mandating that food producers need to fertilize and herbicide their produce? Who will be the person determining that? What exactly is this legislation doing?
