Friday Night Dinner
9 years of series that I missed but can now binge at my leisure excellent stuff - situation comedy with well choreographed farce at times.

The last few seconds of this above had me in stitches last night. Makes me wish I had a brother, ha!

I have not listened to it so your guess is as good as mine.

"In May 2021, Rousay went on a five-day trip and came back to a completely empty house. Burglars had taken everything: $20,000 worth of music gear, couch, passport, bed. Even the toilet seat. A GoFundMe was posted to help her recoup, raising more than $33,000. Soon after, a mysterious box bigger than her car showed up at the friend’s house where Rousay was staying. It was filled with instruments and equipment, including a full drum set and a $5,500 archtop guitar, courtesy of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, a fan of her work who had heard about her misfortune. “I did not know him, but he really helped me out when I was fucked,” says Rousay, who has since supported and collaborated with Tweedy. “The shipping on that must’ve been insane. All of the instruments on this record are from Jeff.”"
A nice act.

Jeff seemed happy to try and make as many people's nights as possible
Still no The Unwelcome Guest though . . .

I think Bbop deserves his own hand-picked setlist show, with the man himself being in attendance reclining on a red velvet chaise longue at the side of the stage being fed grapes by a specially flown in Matrix. The lie/stand debate will be settled at his own discretion.

Did you mean T(opang)a, as in the Canyon?I think you're making an unseemly display of your geographical advantage. Wait until I have you on home ground again.
Alternatively, errr .. . . yes.
P.S. I also have to admit a grudging admiration for your thinking outside the box by splitting the T and A ( no pun intended), though really it’s not cricket and I will stick to the accepted rules henceforth.

Methinks you have used that one before. Have you considered a Ta(rzana) by chance?
Can’t remember doing so but you’re probably less senile than I. I have been there though. Not a big fan of LA. At least that place has some history.

That looks more like a slight graze with a bit of itching. I would guess attendees would want an amputation.

There seems to be a lot of vinyl chauvinism about these days.
I also think there's an element of feeding an addiction in the current trend for reissues/bonus content/enhanced packaging. There are rules about such things in the UK betting industry for example. For those with more money than sense then no problem, but I wonder if there are less well off completist fans of different bands who buy stuff they really shouldn't be spending their money on. I don't see why there could not just be separate EP releases for the actual new material.

"This package collects the original album plus three LP sides of bonus material. The bonus tracks appeared on companion single and EP releases at the time, tracks pulled from 2011 radio live-in-studio recordings, plus a couple of unreleased tracks from early in the sessions. Everything is packaged in a beautiful box."

There seems to be a lot of vinyl chauvinism about these days. How would I get to buy this as a CD kind of person? Luckily at more than 70 quid and without much new meat I can let it pass without getting hot and bothered.
I love Sometimes It Happens. The rest of the original bonus (CD) material I don't care for. However, The Whole Love is probably my favourite Wilco album - largely because of Pat's production I think. (Usual caveats that there are some tracks I am not so fond of apply).

So much comes together. An anti-war band now in exile performing at Crocus City some time ago.

The chorus is gorgeous of this one song. I remembered liking this and today confirmed that it was indeed a performance at Crocus City.
He's not usually so formal - it was one of those group + orchestras special deals.

Well, I am simply your ta - less servant as always.Did you manage to arrange that session with JT to confirm the rumour about water going down the bath plughole the other way round?
Also, it should have been 'bloke' not 'guy'. That's what spending too much time around Americans does to you.

Just stumbled on this recently posted clip
If you search 'Colour Me Pop 'in YouTube you can find quite a few performances from that 60s BBC programme
This is one of my favourites (though I'm not particularly a Moody Blues fan)
