  1. The release series disc 5-8 and Discs 8.5-12 box sets will finally see release on cd. finally. Apparently it's going to be put out in Canada on record store day and the USA in May. There are order links already available on amazon and i ordered one of each right away.

  2. And then there's this. Just when you can't think that it couldn't get more revolting, it does.. He tells a 10 year old girl that he will date her in 10 years and it's recorded on tape. It's shocking only b/c he ended up being even worse than i thought he was, and I've always hated him. He's a pure predator.

  3. The GOP powers that be better be looking up the procedures for dumping him and installing a new candidate.

Those weaklings had the chance to disavow him from the party long ago, but he threatened to run independently.

Btw Col, Hapablap. Non consensual touching in any form is battery, not "potentially" a crime. It IS a crime. However, in Donald's world, "they let you do it." It's good to be King?

I 100% agree. I meant only by saying "potentially" that my alternative theory was that he could be just making stuff up that didn't actually do, which he does all the time for a lot of other things. Just bullshitting in order to sound like a big man in front of the boys. Since i posted that, however, it has become more than likely that he was actually telling the truth. That he did engage in this behavior, and repeatedly at that. I had thought that when this news broke, that it would lead to more accusations, and that's exactly what happened. He's basically become the political version of Bill Cosby. Not only his is political career likely over, but possibly his celebrity career as well. Couldn't happen soon enough, as far as I'm concerned.

  4. This is even worse b/c Trump is essentially admitting to doing the kind of stuff that Roger Ailes got fired from fox news for while on tape. Groping women without consent is potentially criminal behavior.  This goes a step above simply being "lewd." Of course, since he never spelled out any victims specifically, we will never know exactly who he was speaking of, but he's basically admitting he sexually assaulted women in some form at some point in his life and that he was proud of it.

  5. At a friend's 50th tonight... Any chance this is archived anywhere? Or did anyone do a capture? Here's hoping...

Someone apparently did. It appears to have been captured directly off the radio, so i'm assuming the awesome person who captured this was in the Minneapolis area at the time. It sounds great! I was at the show in the front row, and now i get to relive it whenever i want! Whoohoo! I posted the link in the torrents section.

  6. Newbury Comics is now offering for pre-order the Schmilco CD with an autographed postcard.

    Link

Cool! I canceled my amazon order and ordered from there instead. Thanks for the heads up! I noticed they are also offering Nels' new CD with an autograph as well.

  7. I think in places Summerteeth certainly has a dated feel to it where you'd imagine that a bunch of tracks could have not been recorded at any other time that the late 90's ("Can't Stand It", "Shot In The Arm", "ELT", etc.) The same thing affects other records from around that time - i.e. Pavement's Terror Twilight,  Neil Finn's Try Whistling This...

Still, I think a few of the tracks hold up pretty well and transcend their timestamp - "She's A Jar", "Via Chicago" "How To Fight Lonliness", "In A Future Age".

Agreed, while the production feels dated, many of the songs on that record hold up for the lyrics alone.

  8. Toughest.Challenge.Ever. I don't think i've ever tried to do this even inside my head. It's too difficult...or is it?

    1.YHF

2.Mermaid Ave. 1 & 2(To me, they're a package deal. You could basically fit all the WIlco songs from that project onto one cd. One AMAZING cd).

3.A Ghost Is Born(The album that has aged the best in the Wilco catalouge. Challenging and great when it came out, it sounds even more remarkable now. Also likely to remain the most unique, since Jeff plays all the lead guitar parts for the first and probably last time. The Muzzle Of Bees solo is probably my favorite solo on any Wilco record).

    4.Summerteeth

    5.Being There

6.Star Wars(Easily the best full album effort since Nels and Pat Joined the band. This could go higher yet, but i need to listen a few thousand more times before i know for sure).

    7.The Whole Love

8.Wilco(The Album)(Bull Black Nova is by far my favorite song from either this or SBS, therefore it beats SBS).

    9.Sky Blue Sky

10.A.M.(not a bad album at all, Some great songs. it's just not really Wilco. It's a good Uncle Tupelo album without Jay Farrar. At least, that's what it sounds like to me.)

  9. Oh wow, I'm sad to say this, but i won't be able to go to all the shows, and maybe not any, this time around. I'm already committed financially to go to Washington D.C. during New Year's to go to the Winter Classic game featuring the Blackhawks! The timing isn't right to purchase any tickets right now, but maybe if someone has any extras available the week of the show, I might be able to go to one or two of them. I was lucky enough to see 4 of the 5 shows from the last Riv. Residency and all five of the Incredible Shrinking Tour residency, but i know I can't do it right now. It's the end of an era for me... :ohwell

  10. The 5 CD bootleg from a few years ago was as close as we had and some of it genuinely sucks.  Perhaps a tape that is closer to the source will be better, but I am going to guess that huge swaths of this new set will also be of low quality and mostly of interest to obsessives like us.  I will be more than happy to add one more official bootleg to my shelves, but no one should expect some giant revelation.  I am guessing the missing songs are more fucking around, more folk material, more half-baked/unfinished songs, etc.  None the less at this stage Dylan is smart to release the rest of his archive while he is still around.  Why not cash in while he still can.

Sure, why not? I ordered the deluxe set, just as soon as a saw the picture of it on my Facebook feed. I didn't even look at the tracklisting!. I just ordered it straight away! With fans like us, why not make money from it, as long as the product is well put together, as the previous bootlegs surely have.been. Many of the non-live Bootleg Series discs have had at least a surprise or two.as well.

  11. Thanks so much for doing this! I am so stoked to have a copy of this show, it's my first real soundboard of a show I was at!

Edit: Also, not to nit pick, but you forgot to list Spencer in the notes on the band.

D'oh! Strange thing that he's included in my explaination, but not in the list of band members. I edited the dimeadozen post, I can't edit the text files on dime, sadly. I just fixed the dropbox text file as well.
