A couple friends of mine were on the hunt for a sitar a couple years before the internet took off. Somehow, they managed to find a place to buy them, and bought five or six of them, which they were able to sell at a markup almost immediately after they arrived. So they made their money back and each got a sitar out of it. It's amazing the kind of hoops you had to jump through if you wanted any hard to find item before the internet came along.

Heritage headstocks are shaped differently than Gibsons. That's definitely a Gibson in the photo. I'd LOVE to have an older 335. That might be my "if I win the lottery" guitar.

This thread is the first time I've ever heard of a 555, but I don't know all that much about the Heritage brand.

Somebody check me, but I'm pretty sure a 335 with a trapeze is a 330...one example I know of, Ed o'brien from radiohead plays one.

The 330 is a full hollowbody and the 335 is a semi-hollow. Major difference. The trapeze seems to be more common on a full hollow like a 330, but I don't think you can conclude that trapeze on a guitar shaped like a 335 = 330.

Ahhhh...so 330 is more like a casino...make sense. J

Hey I think we have the same kit! Is that a Phonic or force3000? Mines pretty beat up though. I'll post some pics soon

'91 Force 3000, back when Sonors were still made in Germany.

Thanks! The cabinet is more of a cemetary than a treasure chest. Notice the 2 volume pedals.

aw :(

Hey how do you like the new(er) Jazzmasters?

My friend who is a guitar snob really dislikes them... infact he thinks most high priced Fenders are all cheese. But I really want a jazzmaster.

Input?

The jazzmaster is cool, but it frets out above the 10th fret or so. You can't really bend strings on it, so it's more of a rhythm guitar for me. I was surprised because Nels, J, Thurston and Lee, etc do so many mind blowing things on jazzmasters. It might benefit from having a mustang bridge on it.

I mostly play the SG.

Lots of JM players, including Nels, Sonic Youth, Tom Verlaine, etc. change out the bridges on their JMs with Mastery Bridges.

Time to resurrect this thread. Here's some guitars and amps I haven't posted yet (well other than the Fender Twin that is.)

Epiphone Swingster ............................................. American Vintage '52 Telecaster Reissue

1SquierJazzmaster.jpg 3Fenderbassampa.jpg

Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster + Vox AC15C1 ...... '62 Precision Bass Reissue + Bassman TV Fifteen

Pulled out all my effects pedals the other day to see if any of the old ones were worth resurrecting. My current setup is usually the Tube Screamer, Peppermint Fuzz, Deja Vibe, Pulsar, Phase 100 and the Boss Analog Delay. If I'm going for a more straightforward setup I usually just go with the Tube Screamer and an amp.
