Impossible Germany

Recommended Posts

Impossible Germany, unlikely Japan

Wherever you go, wherever you land

I'll say what this means to me

I'll do what I can

Impossible Germany, Unlikely Japan

The fundamental problem

All I need to say

This is important

but I know

you're not listening, oh I know

you're not listening

This is still new to me

It's not what I planned

Impossible Germany, Unlikely Japan

This is what love is for

to be out of place

gorgeous at long and face to face

we'll know about your problems

they need to be erased

nothing more important

but you know

someone's listening, oh I know

you'll be listening

the chord progressions, i sometimes took the general harmony into account, which explains many of the seemingly random sus4s, 6s, and maj7s floating around.:

intro: Am-Cmaj7

verse: Amsus4-Am-Cmaj7-Cmaj6-G-Em-Am

chorus: C-Am-C-Am-G-Em-Am-C-Am-Cmaj7

postlude: G-Em-Am-Am

there's a lot of stuff in between that i'm not willing to notate out at the moment.

Amsus4:

there's no such thing as an Amsus4. A chord can be either diminished, minor, major, augmented, or suspended. It can't be minor and have a suspended fourth, that makes no sense!! Sorry, I'm kind of anal about these things.

You can however have an Amadd4.

But nevertheless, there was no flatted third in the chord mentioned.

Ok well I'm trying to figure out this whole song and I got Nels' line in the intro of the song that goes along with Pat and Jeff's parts I posted earlier. He plays this line quite a bit throughout the song and I added the first little fill he does during the first verse. Keep plugging away!

e --0------0-------0---0-------0---------------------------3----

b 8--8-10--10/12---7--7-8-5------------------------3/5-------

g -----------------------------------------------------------------

d -----------------------------------------------------------------

a -----------------------------------------------------------------

e -----------------------------------------------------------------
