"Imperial Wit

 

OG: 1073 / Ready: 3 months

 

Imagine, if you will, a Belgian witbier brewed to the specifications of a Belgian Tripel... now open your eyes. It's got the grain load of a strong Belgian ale but with a large proportion of wheat malt (the all-grain version also includes flaked oats) and Witbier spices and yeast. Serve in a wide-mouthed goblet and debate with your friends whether somebody got Witbier in your Tripel or Tripel in your Witbier."

A nice West coast afternoon wine break with Castle Rock Barrel Fermented Coastal Chardonnay. I'm working my way up the price range for this week since I have the week off, so this is the cheapest one so far (~$8.99), and it's quite good. Not bad for a lazy Saturday afternoon.
