Yeah, I didn't think last night could be topped but that was awesome! I think there was probably about a dozen changes to the set list. Other than those mentioned above, Casino Queen came in as did Too Far Apart, Don't Forget the Flowers, Late Greats, Theologians, Shake It Off, Either Way, War on War, Company in My Back....just amazing!

They seemed in a great mood - Nels was winding his guitar lead around his neck at one stage and John was doing star jumps during Outtasite (which closed the set)..... :worship

Handshake Drugs was awesome tonight and Nels's Impossible Germany solo was again different but again brilliant.

Glenn had a judge's wig on at the start of ITMWLY...then his drum tech had a horse's head on at one point....

Jeff was in good humour. He gave the finger to some guy on the balcony earlier who shouted something. Sounded fairly innocent but Jeff obviously keen to establish the boundaries... :D Some other bloke shouted out, "Kansas City"....I guess a nod to the similar shout in "Kicking Television" when Jeff came out with that great put down but I don't think Jeff got it. He said, "Yeah, ok, this next song's called Kansas City".... :D

He had a bit of banter with one of the venue security crew down the front of stage who he reckoned looked like Burt Bacharach - "You've been giving me the look of love all evening...." :lol

Jesus etc. was dedicated to the Wilco crew....though Jeff did point out they probably wouldn't thank him for his choice of song....I guess they're maybe tired of hearing it?

Usual fooling around with the little stuffed toys they have....and the Irish flag was proudly draped over Pat's keyboards.....Jeff announced that he had since learnt that it did, indeed, mean "Sky Blue Sky".... :thumbup

Great to hear Kamera, Company in My Back and Theologians, Impossible Germany was amazing again, was also cool to hear On and On and On.

The guy in the balcony who Jeff gave the finger to shouted "I am trying to break your VW", was def a bit of a tool but Jeff seemed to be laughing about it.

They seemed to be in great form, jumping about and posing, the guys were throwing soft toys at Glenn again, there seemed to be a box of them brought out just for that.

It was def 2 of the best gigs i've ever been to. I was hoping it wouldnt be the same as London where they played similar sets but they really switched it up.

After the 2nd encore was over at 11 the lights didnt come up for ages and the roadies seemed to be waiting as if the band were coming back out, but after a few minutes they got a signal that there was no more, so maybe band planned on coming back out but couldnt since I think they gotta be finished by 11.

I rarely post.

Last night was the best gig i have ever been to. I'm 27. I've seen alot of amazing shows. I'll hopefully see alot more amazing shows. If some of them come close to that i'll be happy.

To everyone that was there i hope you enjoyed it as much as i did.

Highlights- Casino Queen for the energy and the other side- On and on and on. Simply beautiful.

Thanks Wilco.

Very special for me on two counts.

1....I was the butt of the Burt Bacharach joke (gobsmacked, yes! embarrassed, double yes!!) - had been right in front of Pat inside the photo pit for the entire show (a favour from the fantastic friendly guys at the venue who knew me) - I'll put some of the pix I was allowed to take from during the first three songs up soon.

2....Went back to the hotel after the gig to share a laugh with Jeff about the Bacharach gag (he shook my hand as he was leaving the stage at the end of the gig and said with a grin 'You DO look like Burt Bacharach!' Thanks mate! Bumped into John (lovely guy) at the entrance to the hotel and he invited and my wife for a drink and we stayed til nearly two in the morning. Had a great chat with John, Nels and Glenn and then spent a good half hour with Jeff who thanked me for being a 'good sport'. To all the band and crew, thanks so much. I'll be putting up a review on SkyArts.com with pictures by this coming Monday.

Terrific night and one I won't forget in a hurry.

All I need now is to 'Say A Little Prayer' and find a torrent of the 15th to relive the Bacharach moment. Mr W perhaps you can help? 'Walk On By!!'

Yours, Burt!

For the record dude, you do look like Mr. Bacharach!

Great spot i was quite jealous of you all evening, more so after Jeff had his chat with you. I figured you were some form of security.

Great gig, highlights for me were Company In my Back, Jesus etc, I'm The Man Who Loves You. At times a bit too much of the Nels Cline guitar noodling for me, same at the Berlin gig last May. I wonder are they better without him? Cue serious abuse....!

that was fucking beast. there seemed to be a bit more of a lively atmosphere the second night and it did seem like the band wanted to play just a little more but they didn't get to. over the two nights I only would've loved to hear ELT and Poor Places and that woulda been everything perfect. They played Late Greats which I was shouting for a bit.

Only downside was the prick beside me shouting "puke for me Jeff" about four times during the gig. dick.

Sorry, other downside.... that I can't just go see them every night!

I think somebody was shouting puke for me Jewff at the solo gig in Vicar St last year as well, what a tool.

The Irish Times picked Wilco as gig of the past week in yesterdays edition and has a pic of Jeff, will try scan it later.

Shouters rarely piss me off, but the ones at wilco shows do, it's either a) i'll say something smart and jeff will acknowledge me, how cool am i? People love me and think i'm really funny - no we don't please fuck off.

or B) i'll make a demeaning put down and try and provoke a negetive reaction. Seriously why come at all.

True there are genuinely funny moments but they are generally not worth the perpetual shouts of boring individuals looking for there few seconds.

Don't get me stated on the Jesus Etc-ers...
