The Black Crowes

Another One For Woody @ Roseland Ballroom, November 22

Rich and Luther were there, and also, Audley Freed.

I grabbed this last night off of Dime a Dozen. The electric set is suppose to be really good. I am listening to it now, and it does sound like they were hittin' the note.

On Sunday, I spent some time creating track lists for all those shows I grabbed since August. I noticed they were really not playing that many different songs. It looks they are changing things up for the final run of shows that are going on this week.

That was originally on a fanclub Christmas tape they put out in the mid 1990s. I think I have it on a BC B-Sides collection I found online a few years ago.

It's not the Stones (written by the Lennon/McCartney) cover?

Must admit, I don't think I ever heard the Beatles version. The Crowes version was fun. Definitely had the early 60's vibe and

the screaming was a nice touch. Also it's nice that they didn't turn it into a 6 minute song.

No Hard To Handle? That's gotta be their most popular song.

We play that song in my Classic Rock cover band and that song is always hit with any crowd, any age.

I would think they are sick of playing that, along with several other songs. It may be the most popular song to the causal fan, or someone who was into the band when it was a hit way back when, but it's probably not with those who are more familiar with their albums. At least it is not to me.
