What was Betty Seviert's big hit?

Bettie Serveert had a "big hit"? :huh

I don't think I've ever heard one of their songs on the radio, or seen a video on TV.

I really dug that band back in the day. Saw them play once -- they're pretty good live.

I think the singer was in a bathtub in the video and things were red. I'm not having any luck on YouTube. She bears a remarkable resemblance to the comedian Maria Bamford.

i have no idea who or what your talking about but i sure would like to see that carol van dyk in a bathtub.

edit: i meant in "my" bathtub.

"Sucked Out" - Superdrag

What a great, great band! And they just got added to Bonnaroo.

I'll throw in "Bound for the Floor" by Local H... even though I'm a HUGE Local H fan and very tired of that song. But it was a hit..

and

Whoever You Are - Geggy Tah

Not an Addict - K's Choice

Revved Up - Triplefastaction

"Brimful of Asha" by Cornershop

The first time I heard it was a revelation. Before that I never realized that everybody does need a bosom for a pillow.

Pretty amazing song.

BTW I know Eels are a one-hit-wonder because of "Novocaine for the Soul," but I swear that is their worst track. I highly recommend people check them out if you have not.

My additions:

"Bad Reputation" - Freedy Johnston

"Dyslexic Heart" - Paul Westerberg

"Banditos" (everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people, so meet me at the mission at midnight, we'll divvy up there) - The Refreshments

"Blackwater" - Meat Puppets

And maybe this should be a separate thread, but I sometimes get very nostalgic for 90s trashy pop-country:

"Small Town Saturday Night" - Hal Ketchum

"18 Wheels and a Dozen Roses" - Kathy Mattea

"The Wheel" - Roseanne Cash
