Really really great show, and an amazing venue. The sound was great! Spiders was awesome, and it was nice to hear Theologians. I saw numerous tapers, so hopefully they turn out well. Also, it was funny when Jeff got thrown off by the clapping during Radio Cure.

The Grand Opera is so small that the Box Office took my contact info this afternoon with the promise to call if any tickets became available...and they actually called and offered a SRO ticket at about 5:50p. I know I've never gotten that kind of service from TM.

Pot Kettle Black, Theologians, and Late Greats were all very pleasing. Glenn tossed in some new fills to keep Spiders interesting. No new songs...bummer.

The set list should also include Company in my Back, early in the show.

We had a great time, even considering we were ALL THE WAY in the back (OK, I exaggerate, we were three rows from the top of the house). The balcony was kind of dead til the encores, sadly, but the sound was great and the band was pretty tight (other than JT's lapses of concentration :) )

The ride down was truly hellish. We left Rochester about 1

Pretty loose show overall, I thought, at least by Wilco standards. How often do you hear the band not be able to get it together to start a song, like they did on Hotel Arizona? And Jeff getting distracted by something or someone right in the middle of Radio Cure? The show sounded really good, though. Pretty nice acoustics in that place.

Jeff's quote of the night, after noticing someone toward the front (apparently a courtroom sketch artist) sketching them throughout the show: "We need to see those. Whenever I'm sketched, I tend to look...simian."

Here's the complete setlist, in order:

Sunken Treasure

Had a great time, was right down in the front thanks to my friends incredible luck with the presale. Guy next to us said he paid $200 per ticket for the same seats. The venue was excellent. $4 parking and $3 beers is awesome enough, but the building itself was beautiful. I liked the set but was surprised there was nothing from Summerteeth. How funny was it when Jeff motioned to the woman to stop clapping? Also got a kick out of Jeff forgetting the beginning of Hotel Arizona. Spiders nearly melted my face, probably my favorite of the night. Hung around out back for 20 minutes afterward and was lucky enough to meet Jeff. He signed my poster and took a quick picture. Very friendly, very gracious. All in all an excellent night.

I thought it was a great show. Cool poster, too. Out of all the Wilco show posters I have, this one is probably the best due to the band's signatures. I'm thinking of framing this one.

Plus, Spiders gets me every time. :wub

I am going to be SO late for work tomorrow.

anyway,

Great venue- very small, good acoustics, and nice people working there. $4 mixed drinks, $3 beers and they let you take them back to your seats- I felt so trusted (and trustworthy, of course).

I would have liked to see the crowd standing more during the main set, but they were appreciative either way.

Are you aware, Delaware?

Cheap drinks. Great venue. Great seats. Amazing performance. And meeting Jeff all makes for a pretty excellent night.

I had 2nd row seats, ended up standing right in front of their PA all night (I was in the blue Phillies shirt, you might have seen me jumping around)

Can't say enough about the show. Whole different experience being that close. Jeff acknowledged that we were standing the entire show. Afterwards hung out back for a little bit, met some people that had spent 30+ hours on a greyhound bus to see the show. Got to meet Jeff, seemed to be in a very good mood. I'll post my pictures tonight (also got video of the Impossible Germany solo).

Very loose and very fun show. I was concerned that the band might be a bit tuckered out after five straight days on the road but they brought the goods and then some.

Outstanding intimate venue with some of the best sound (THANK YOU STAN AND CREW) ever for a Wilco show

Theologians might have been the highlight - just a furious reading of that song

Very good clap along to Spiders and Casino

The only quibble I have is that, like the Lollapalooza webcast, Nels guitar seemed buried in the mix. Not at first but, for example, during "Impossible Germany" you could barely hear him over Jeff & Pat.

Agreed. For the whole set his guitar seemed pretty low in the mix. No other complaints about the sound as it was one of the best sounding shows i've ever attended.

That's a great room for sound. That was the third show I've seen there and the sound has been great every time. The first was Lyle Lovett and his Large Band and even with 15+ musicians the sound was perfect. Also saw the White Stripes there, obviously much less to cover in the mix but it was really loud and still sounded great.
