Aww. What a body of work. He should be buried in Arlington National Cemetery as an American hero.

Learned about this last night between sets and was deeply saddened. We did a tribute to him in the second set, playing "Too Busy Thinking About My Baby," "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," "Just My Imagination," "I Heard it Through the Grapevine," and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." It doesn't seem possible to think that Norman Fucking Whitfield is underrated, but he just might be. Rest in peace and immense props and gratitude to you, sir.
