Califone. It might be possible since they have toured in the past (I believe in 2002), and have played shows together before. Plus, they both have fantastic awesome new albums!

What I remember most is the annoying hippy chick twirl dancing right next to me.

I can't believe you remember me! :blush

let's just replay the past and go with Black Crowes and Wilco and every night an epic version of Willin :thumbup

My Morning Jacket

MMJ opened up for Wilco 4 years ago. Just happened to be the first Wilco show I went to. I certainly wouldn't mind a repeat, it was awesome stuff!

I'd love to see The Sam Roberts Band open up for Wilco. I think with their energy they'd really set a high mark for Wilco to jump off.

Since it's just wishful thinking:

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings opening with Robyn Hitchcock (they made the album Spooked together)

Neil Finn doing a few great acoustic numbers

Wilco, with Neil and Robyn joining on all three encores (doing Beatles, Crowded House, and Soft Boys covers)

Almost my dream concert. Mine would be:

Wilco + Minus 5 + Robyn H + REM

Since these bands are kind of commingled, it would just be one big show. Jeff Tweedy, Robyn Hicthcock, and Peter Buck all jamming together on one stage -- better than peanut butter & chocolate.

I certainly could live with that line up. Good call! (it's ok if Michael S. skips it, as far as I'm concerned.)

Wilco and The Flaming lips.. This would be way too awesome for the universe to handle, causing it to implode.

We've have survived.

I'm gonna see Lucero at Fun Fun Funfest in Austin, wooo! Lucero, to me, is Uncle Tupelo without a Tweedy. I guess it's Son Volt then...

D'Oh.. Didn't mean that, I love Michael. He kicked ass at the 08 REM Show at Jones Beach, in the pouring rain. Just prefer Jeff these days.

Sorry, it was just a lob pitch ;)

I've only seen the Venus 3 and Minus 5 recently, but I'm sure I'd enjoy REM. I haven't seen REM as a band since 1985. I doubt I'd enjoy REM as much as Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3 though, in part because of the small club venue where they played here last weekend, versus arena rock.
