hmm... Besnard Lakes are hard to pin down. epic... sprawling... haunting... but still insanely melodic indie rock? mostly female vocals. here's the first single 'Albatross'

 

 

That sounds really good. I have been listening to Beach House all week so maybe I will check out something else and then come back to this. Too much female vocal dreamy pop in a row to make it a good listen. Have to cleanse the palate a little. Sounds intriguing though.

Love it. Mark Linkous is, in my opinion, one of the very best musicians out there.

completely and totally agree about Linkous... it's insane that more people haven't heard of this guy

 

..and although it never got released, this is absolutely incredible also...
