Wilco -- 4/3/10, Monclair NJ

The only way I could be pretty sure it wasn't a dream was that they didn't launch into "Kicking Television" to close. What a great run. One more night!

Oh, where was it that it was on the list but replaced with I'm A Wheel? St. Louis? So close!

Holy Florking Schnit -- what a friggen great show!! Dreamer in my Dreams, Misunderstood, Always in Love were highlights (as was Jeff yelling at me cos I'm not from Montclair "Are you from Montclaaaiiirrrrrr?"). A bunch of people around me did not know about the acoustic part, and when the transition began, I saw a lot of drop jaws and looks of amazement - that was neat to see.

Great crowds both nights -- no talkers.

Three greats hows (Scranton and Montcliar2,)my calves are killing and I'm exhausted, but so worth waiting in line for total of 12 hours (3 shows) Now I've got some bad post concert blues. :(

I vaguely remember hearing them sound check Kicking Television when I was walking around one of those days in St. Louis. Saturday, I think?

I'm glad to see them breaking out some songs from the second half of Being There. Someday Soon was one of the highlights of the Scranton show for me. And hopefully they play More Like the Moon again in Philly next weekend! I went back and forth about whether I wanted to come down for these shows. Unfortunately I have a stack of papers to grade this weekend, so I couldn't manage it, but I'm still really glad to hear they were both so good.

Came up from Philly with a friend who's kind of a Wilco Newbie but really digs them. Played night 2 of the residency on the way up and when Dreamer came on, I said I'd bust a nut if the played that tonight. DID NOT expect that. All the Being There songs in these sets are a huge treat as was the 6 songs from Summerteeth last night. After Always in Love>Candyfloss, Jeff said something like, "hope you enjoyed that Summerteeth Rock Block." These guys just to continue to deliver on a level I'm not sure any band can duplicate right now.

One small complaint/suggestion; Deeper Down needs to go. Total momentum killer.

Really? That was a highlight for me at the show I saw. It was a really nice great... though it may be better placed in the acoustic set.

surpriesed nobody has mentioned When You Wake Up Feeling Old being played. I've been waiting to hear it live for the last 10 years.

hmmmmmmmm, talkers ? guess they were all by me, cuz for the life of me, i'll never get why people pay good money to come to a show and chat.

Do you have something important to say during a concert ? do you not like the song ? do you just enjoy talking, perhaps.

luckily chatty boy ande girl left early.

The chatting wasn't as bad as the first night i dont think. I expected some people to be lost in the acoustic set and start chatting, sounded like most of it was coming from the back.

I know NYCTaper and Acidjack couldn't make this show, does anyone know if there were any tapers this second night?

PEB -- I am glad you went. I was wondering if you would be able to make it. What songs did you not like? What about whose white shoes??

Oh and happy fucking birthday :birthday

Why all this Jersey hating? From a life-long Jersey girl of German/Swedish descent raised in the wooded hills of Northern NJ where we had more bears than gangsters. A girl with with flat hair, a natural tan, and real boobs.

i do not like wilco the song, deeper down and walken. always hated walken. and jeff wears enormous white clown shoes that makes me stare at his feet and his foot taps. the only thing that would be worse would be enormous white crocs.

and thanks to my friend paul for thinking of me when he ended up with an extra ticket. :cheers

As Triumph the Insult Comic Dog says, "I Keeeed!" (that's "kid", as in "joke", if it's not apparent.)

So less than 10% of the show then.

What if he wore white construction boots?

GREAT time last night and a bit surreal seeing Wilco so close to where i grew up (in nearby Clifton) so the "back in your old neighborhood" hit close to home. They never let me down. :worship

I gave my tickets to a friend who was going to tape the show. I'll talk to him when I get home, but he's really quite reliable. I expect both shows will be up on nyctaper in the next couple of days.

In The Street was flat-out religious. They absolutely destroyed it. Alex would've been proud. Thanks, John.

In the street was unexpected and incredible, its great that John and Pat took the reigns on that one, they performed it to a tee. Alex would've been proud indeed.

I don't know of any, but would love to find someone who did. If you find something please let me know.
