Pot Kettle Black chorus help

I'm trying to learn Pot Kettle Black in standard tuning. Yes, I know it's in Drop D or something but I just want to play it in regular tuning. The verses sound find with but the chorus is giving me problems. Here's what I'm going off of:

 

Chorus 1:
               Gmaj7     F#            G          E               Gmaj7  Asus4   F#
I'm tied in a knot         but I'm not gonna get caught calling a pot   kettle  black
 E                G   E           G                            D  G  D  G
Every song's a comeback, every moment's a little bit later

 

 

These are the chords I got from a version that I found in here, but I can't seem to make it work. Are the chords in the right places? Especially in the "pot kettle black" part? For the "ket - tle black" part there sounds like there should be 3 chords, one for each sylable, but again, when I play it, it doesn't sound right.
