I try to mix up the 7s with regular chords to not make it so monotonous (i.e., Am in lieu of Am7, Em in lieu of Em7, etc.) The little intro is what Pat plays (I think) on the LP version. It sounds pretty pretty good due to the open string drone, IMHO YMMV. Good luck!
