toughes wilco ticket outside of chicago

Recommended Posts

While trying to pick up some tickets for friends to the Cain's show in Tulsa I was wondering, outside of Chicago or maybe St Louis could Cain's be the toughest venue to get a ticket to a wilco show? I have been lucky enough to see wilco/jt solo there and lucky to have tickets to the upcoming show in May and love the whole atmosphere of this venue, but it seems like it sells out quicker than most other venues. I have always been able to pick up tickets in Dallas, OKC and Austin. But Cain's is always a challenge.

I don't know, but I haven't found a ticket for the Cain's show for less than 125.00....

I don't know about other venues but Cain's only holds 1500 which I would think is pretty small compared to other venues. I know the place in Bricktown in OKC feels a lot bigger than Cain's. The band could probably fill the Brady Theater in Tulsa pretty well, but I guess they have a fondness for Cain's......

Rural.

Tulsa has 1,000,000 people living there.

Well, actually it's about 400,000. But it is interesting how "Northerners" view things West of the Mississippi and South of the Mason Dixon line.

are "Northerners" an oblique group that can't be defined by your stated criteria, and require quotation marks?

"Northerner" was used as a contrast to "rural". There are quite a few metropolitan, sophisticated areas that lie outside the North (Chicago), West and East Coasts.

Also, I have no idea where squashedfrog is from. However, given his citation of Brooklyn and Boston among his troika of cited cities, an assumption was made.

But...way to miss my point there.

I guess I don't get your point.

cains is a sanctuary in a world of verizon wirelesses', and if not perhaps its age. tickets are hard to get for any big/gish name band . im from kansas city, and we are quite sophisticated, but not enough to get tickets to cains since 2009ish[whenever tweedy rocked the burrito bros. jacket]
