worldrecordplayer Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 This was a real mixed bag for me. Highlights were Clapton, Alicia Keys and The Who (can they really be called The Who?). Lowlights were Bon Jovi and Kanye, boy I cannot stand either of those. Indifferent to Bruce (lost my connection to his songs years ago) and Waters. The Stones just make me sad for how much I think Keith has lost it. I haven't seen them live on any of their recent shows, but any of the clips I've seen they seem pathetic. brownie Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 Indifferent to Bruce (lost my connection to his songs years ago) I have lived in NJ my entire life, and I have always been indifferent to Bruce. However, since every establishment I have ever patronized at the Jersey shore (in various shore towns) has been completely obliterated by Hurricane Sandy, I found myself enjoying Bruce's performance last night more than I ever have, and more than I ever expected I would. His "Jersey Shore" shtick, which I have always sort of poo-pooed, seemed incredibly poignant to me last night. Truly, you don't know what you've got till it's gone.
