Via Chicago Translator Needed

my step son is in 8th grade.  This last Tuesday his mom and I attended a presentation given by the school district on magnet high schools and options re: same.  Throughout the presentation, the nice lady speaker would stop about every 30-45 seconds so that the translator could translate into Spanish what the nice lady speaker was saying.

 

That got me thinking:  we need a translator here on VC.  There is a whole population of maladjusted potential Wilco fans who aren't getting reached because of the language barrier.

 

Hopefully we can get a volunteer from our own ranks.  If not, I'm willing to throw in a few dollars (sorry, "dólares") in order to get a fund started.

 

The translator would just need to hang around and translate into Spanish in real time every post by every member on the board.

I don't speak Spanish just yet, but through the magic of having young children I've been watching a fair amount of Dora the Explorer, so I expect to be fluent soon.

Dora isn't bad. Especially for really young kids. It's something that they grow out of pretty quickly, though.
