Wilco Kings Theater Brooklyn Night 1 2/5/16

Wow what a venue!! Beautiful and the sounds good too! Surprises to me where I Must Be High and Space Oddity closer!!! I had the pleasure also of meeting ladyc from the board and oddly Mario Battali! Speaking off food word to the wise attending tomorrow eat before coming here the restaurants nearby are awful!

That wasn't Kamera, it was Camera (the alternate version). Which sounds different than the usual, album version.

Venue staff were fantastic - professional, cheerful, and welcoming - all the way around. Sign of a well-run organization.

Glad to see the crowd stood from the get-go. I think there were a lot of first-timers/casual fans in the audience so I wasn't sure that would happen.  A few assertive folks up front may have set the tone ;)

A real annoyance was the constant stream of people trying to crash the front to sit with their buddies/occupy seats they didn't pay for/stand in the aisles. The ushers kept turning them back though later in the show they just made them squeeze in.

Nice to  hear Company in My Back, in addition to the above-named surprises.

"We call that Star Wars.... But it just easily could have been called 'Spaceballs'.. or 'Cease and Desist.'"

Totally wish i was going tomorrow night, but other plans beckon...

Someone will have the list as i dont have it all.  After Star Wars I recall Company at my Back, IATTBYH, Handshake Drugs, Art of Almost, I Must be High, Camera, Via Chicago, Impossible Germany, the Late Greats, ITMWLY, Born Alone , HMD and no single electric encore (seems like a tight 11 pm curfew), right to acoustic Misunderstood, Always in Love, A Shot in the Arm, Space Oddity.

I live in the neighborhood, and there are some nice food & bar options over on Cortelyou road.

Purple Yam (Vietnamese-ish)

Cafe Tibet (Cash only)

Asya (Indian)

Sycamore (bar, food out back)

Kumo (sushi)

San Remo (pizza)

Farm on Adderley (farm to table stuff, $$$)

Costello Plan (cocktail bar, tapas food)

You also can't go wrong with the Halal food cart on Cortelyou & Marlbourogh.

Could have used this yesterday! I think I got sick from the jerk chicken I had at fisherman village? I walked Flatbush and really all I saw was Jamaican, McDonald Kfc and subway.. I actually like Jamaican too

Cortelyou Road has some really fantastic restaurants. That street is considered a "foodie" paradise.
