NoJ
Anyone have experience in using this to control pain? My mom, who has a myriad of health issues, has expressed interest in using it to help control her pain and lessen inflammation. Thanks!
Tweedling
I've heard lots of good things. No personal experience but I wouldn't hesitate to try. I hope she finds some relief.
Lammycat
I've heard lots of good things. No personal experience but I wouldn't hesitate to try. I hope she finds some relief.Ditto. It's pretty well accepted as a cure-all for a bunch of stuff, including epilepsy. I recently looked into it to help with anxiety from PTSD and it's certainly a better alternative than xanex/addictive psychotropes.
NoJ
Yep, lots of applications for usage. Me and Ma will have to chat further on the subject.
Robby
I have tried it and had some success, but I wouldn't use it for severe pain. The relief of pain is so subtle that it almost made me think it was more of a placebo effect. It does work well for muscle spasms, but pain, not so much. You will not feel high. Also, realize that (in Florida, at least) a lot of "Health Food Stores" are getting into selling this using industrial hemp, not pot.In Florida there are designated doctors and outlets to insure you're getting the real thing. That might be good, but it also means very few people are involved and are setting the price. Some distributors are selling the oil in proprietary vape delivery systems, so you have to buy their vape to get the oil. It can get expensive and, of course, its not covered by insurance,So I would suggest trying it, but I would not be surprised if you stop using it since the benefits were not worth the cost. But I sincerely hope I wrong. eliyasuzekeri
I'm new here, but I wanted to chime in since I have some experience with CBD oil. I've been using it for a while to help manage my own chronic pain, and I've found it to be really helpful. Of course, everyone is different, but I've heard a lot of success stories from other people as well. I would definitely recommend doing some research and talking to your mom's doctor before she starts using it, just to make sure it's safe and won't interfere with any other medications she's taking. Check out the artcile from https://www.mindbodygreen.com/articles/heres-what-makes-this-200-year-old-heirloom-best-cbd-for-relief/. It's really interesting how something that's been around for so long can still have so many benefits today.
chuckrh
It didn't do much for me but I've been living in severe pain for over a decade. I do usually take some infused lemonade before bed, helps me get a bit of sleep.
