One of my favorite Chicago bands of the 90s—The Flavor Channel—only released a single album. But I did some digging online and was able to create a playlist of hard-to-find and unreleased songs that they had recorded. Their music is all based in a pretty standard 90s alt-rock-type sound, but their arrangements are very much of their own sound, incorporating not only typical rock guitars, but also surf, classic 50's rock n roll,  free jazz sax skronk, and stride piano breaks. Really fantastic stuff. And... hooray for the Internet for helping me dig this stuff up!!!

The following song is just one song; their sound encompasses a lot more. Although I think it's safe to say that if you like this, you will like them in general.
